    Now hopefully we can all make some coin with these picks.....With the Goldman Saks Gangsters undergoing SEC scrutiny ....some in the business are now getting concerned with the whole market ...we are definitely in uncharted water here . Caution is the word! How far will this investigation go? One pundit's recommendation was to actually BUY GS right now, but who really knows!

          Okay, we saw this for ourselves. Now, how will the other investors react? Personally, I'm waiting for a bigger pull back before buying in again.

                      So are you buying back your RNN shares? It looks like it doesn't want to go down.

                            Is CELG a buy?

                            Hi Pete;
                            I am asking this question here as your threads attract the BioPharm afficionados.
                            Would appreciate any feedback on whether today's pullback in CELG is a buying opportunity.
                            Thanks for sharing all your great work.

                              Hello Tie: As you probably are aware by now, my experience in biotech is that they are all a crap shoot and I only evaluate them on the chance that they might be takeover candidates. That means that they must have a pipeline of very promising (hopefully proven) therapies. The only other reason I might buy very short term is if they have news, as in pending announcement of FDA approval of something or a big investment by a major pharma or a bigtime rumor of a buyout.

                              My PhD is biotech-related and I write patents in the field. Overall, I am very skeptical of biotech as a stock investment. I have been lucky in a few cases of buyouts in the past. Pharma stocks in general are down right now. And I just sold PFE at -7.9% (ex-div) that was in my IRA only because of it's good dividend.

                              I did a short piece on CELG for billyjoe last week. I almost posted about it this AM because I read (for the first time) this, from 4/6: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Immuno....html?x=0&.v=1

                              I wonder why CELG dropped. No news I can find to support it. IMHO, would do more DD and don't be too quick to buy. (and don't sue me please, if a takeover is announced.)

                                Thanks for your opinion River. I appreciate all that is shared on this board.

                                I just located some news which probably caused the drop, but in my opinion, while it could certainly set a precedent, I doubt this will ever get too far in the Courts. There are just so many legal actions that can be implemented to stretch this out for a decade.

                                Celgene Corp., a Summit-based biotech company, failed in its efforts to dismiss a case filed by a woman who brought the company the idea of using Thalidomide to treat a form of cancer. Beth R. Jacobson, who once practiced law...

                                JMHO, I think this dip is a buying opportunity.
