Actually you are not afraid, you are proud you do not buy it, and call it thinking too! Amazing! What about starting a thread about (or against) global warming, so we can discuss it a bit? There is an amazing scientific consensus about global warming right now, when most of the oil and coal people have finally climbed aboard. And your 32,000 scientists, well, read this. For a thinking guy, you buy into a lot of hype.

Well, what surprises me no end is that people, including you and Webs, seem to be calling global warming "that Al Gore hype". It isn't, of course. There is a broad, virtually unanimous scientific consensus that human actions are causing a global climate change with quite likely disastrous effects for at least parts of our planet, especially densely populated coastal regions. If someone called Al Gore wants to raise global awareness of that fact, more power to him. But it isn't his show at all.

One only has to look at the kind of "rebuttals" the critics come up with (like the 1998-2007 "cooling", comparing a local top in 1997 with a local bottom in 2007), and to remember how slow and painful the road to the consensus has been, with political barriers having been thrown up time and again, to see that the IPCC consensus is not some empty show piece, and most certainly not created for the benefit of Al Gore. Think about it!

                Regards,

I am still evaluating if it is better to hold for 5 days or 10 days. These momentum stocks can fade quckly ......like PDO and MXC .....I would suggest observing the previous day's high and low spread .....and then setting a tight stop , equal to that spread BELOW the days low . For Example day's low is 78 and days high is 80 .....I would then set the stop at 80 - 78 = 2. So stop would be placed at 76, and then in the same fashion continuously raise the stop! The object here is to protect your profits and cut your losers, but let your winners run.

                      4 For 5/27/08

The futures are up and OIL is trending higher. These 4 should do well today ......for the more conservative investor AMSC and PBR have nice charts.....but for the more risk adverse MXC and PDO .....will put more "Firepower" into your portfolio.

Oil appears to be fading for the moment ......but I am sure we have not seen the last of the increases. These 8 should perform well today .....especially note #8 QTWW .......The stock is parabolic.

What else is there to do in China to escape one's mundane existence there? Many Bang down a Tsing Tau or two and play video games ...and I just happen to know a gaming company that may interest you ......It is Perfect World PWRD. Some of the hottest video games come from this company ....and its most recent earnings report was SWEET.
247% year over year and net income rose 296% .....those figures should peak your interest .....and with a new game supposedly being released today , and getting set to release "Chi Bi" or in English "Red Cliff" which is sure to be another Mega Game.
"Yau Ming Pass me another Tsing Tau" .....as I place my order for more shares of PWRD. Watch this one !

                            Pete,
PWRD on May 1st hit it's Fibonacci target of 30.10 returning about 31% in 38 days. It has another target now of 35.17 and is looking good. Should anyone want to buy at current price, that's another 39% or wait until it gets back into the zone at 26.55 - 27.87 and pick up about 30%. Recent drop in price can be almost completely attributed to earthquake concerns.

Billie yes you are right .....the 3 day mourning period for those poor souls in China will effect the PWRD bottom line ......but maybe now the people need a diversion to get their minds off the horrible conditions which still persist in China.
May God have mercy on their souls for those who have perished in this great tragedy!
