I just happened across it...Really don't see that many in my CwH scans...I was playing around with what you said about 52 week lows...But I was thinking that since the CwH is considered a continuation pattern that maybe 40 or 50 day lows might turn up more prospects???...But I have not spent that much time on it yet.

However, I've been fooling around w/ triangle patterns...Remember the ROBB w/ 2 B's that was here for a while?...He seemed good at finding them.

Here is a nice descending triangle...I think:

Good News...There are more Cups w/ Handles forming...In fact, this week we have the most listed since last December 16th...No where near the number we had early last summer...up to 120...but it is nice to see the number increasing.

Don't forget to look at the Patterns of Interest too below the CwH's at http://SharpTraders.com ...Oftentimes some of those are actually better stocks.

    Thanks, Doug(IIC)

My DVR jumped an hour ahead this morning for the old Daylight Savings so I got up an hour early and didn't realize it for a while...Anyway...at least our Cups w/ Handles and Patterns of Interest are available an hour earlier than usual...Please take a look at http://SharpTraders.com

    Thx...Doug(IIC)

[quote=IIC;93542]Well...they are all related...I actually just find a few by accident...I don't have a scan to actually look for them...I think you

an easy way to start searching for them is to look for stocks that have hit 52 wk lows or stocks that have hit 52 wk lows about 2-3 wks ago. some of those will eventually begin or will have begun to turn up. i always look for the most uniform u shaped bases. you could write a scan for this type of chart pattern at stockcharts advanced scans. barchart.com has a pre-defined scan for 52 wk. lows.

Here's one that may be forming the right side of a cup altho admittedly the cup is not as rounded as we'd like to see:

Might have to click the chart a couple times to see it clearly

    Motherload,
I looked at both the daily and weekly charts and don't see whatever it is that makes you want to make an entry into this one right here. sitting right under the 100 and 200 sma's on the daily and very erratic. plus that last candle (doji) is banging up against the 100 and represents indecision. throw a chart up explaining what you see and what your entry and target plus the risk/reward.
