Billy I only bought a Home Gym On EBAY .....but I paid with credit card the CASH price No Bidding .......I hate that PAY PAL crap also ........what type of recourse do U have with that? I don't trust those bids.....ever notice that they tend to SHOOT up just before the bidding process ends .....BS to that !

One of the reasons bid shoot up near the end is auto bidding...at least on BIDZ...you can set an auto bid but it doesn't activate till the last 15 seconds

Just read the whole thing over at Stock Lemon...Nice detective work on finding out about Saied Aframian...I can't find that info on the net although I didn't try that hard.

Bid shills...Well, I've been talking about BIDZ for days at different places...cannot remember if I posted this here...But a few times I tried to bid on some things in the last few seconds and my bids didn't register and I lost out...On each one of those times the item went real cheap...Not sure if it was a computer glitch or they were blocking a sale at such a cheap price???...However, a few times with plenty of time left I had to click the bid button 3 or 4 times...so maybe it is a glitch???...Will be interesting to see what Stock Lemon reports on Wednesday.

But no matter...I think this is probably going to be tough to recover from for BIDZ in the near future.

Looks like the BIDZ stockholders might have a very nice upcoming week. It finally made its first-ever appearance (after the market close on Friday) on the much-followed Investor’s Business Daily top 100 companies list at #2 (BIDU being listed as #1, DRYS as #3 and ISRG as #4).

And in addition to this, IBD’s Monday’s (November 19) upcoming edition of the newspaper has a whole article/profile on BIDZ on page A6 under the “IBD New America column”. Here is a free-link to it:

BIDZ has a trading float of about 14 million shares, with 1 million of them sold short. Can we all say “short-squeeze”?

Is this another case of "curse of IBD" or what? Maybe they should do more homework than just what the numbers tell them. Or are they looking at the wrong numbers?

I think it's harder to make the IIC 100 or top 10. Then again maybe somebody is making a quick buck on the IBD top 10 and doesn't care what happens after the initial hype. I'm going to see what's being said about BIDZ at their forum.

Hey...That's a good idea...I didn't think of that...

Somebody bashed IBD over at Barron's Forum on BIDZ.

As I mentioned...BIDZ didn't make the IIC 100 cut because of their poor 2008 eps projections...I thot maybe they would raise guidance after the eps report the other day...But today they reaffirmed a big increase in revenues and a decrease in eps for 2008...That doesn't cut it to make the IIC 100.

But I do feel a little bit bad because I mentioned BIDZ in my Sunday email...I didn't recommend a buy and I did state that I did not plan to hold long...But still, I hate to have something like this happen when I send something out to so many people...So far I have not received any hate mail.

The IBD forums today are dominated by BIDZ comments. Many are mad at IBD for their glowing front page story on BIDZ and mention how they could have been fooled. "Just viewing their cheesy website should have set off alarms" one paraphrased comment. A smaller number blame it all on Citron (Stocklemon) and wonder if they can sue them. Apparently more than a few IBD subscribers bought into BIDZ and statements of "I'm wiped out" or "I'm ruined" appear in posts. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Imagine how many aren't posting but have suffered the same fate.

I read all the posts...the one that struck me as funny was the guy who asked how IBD could list them as #2 when they got an F rating from the BBB?...Guess that joker doesn't realize that IBD had an F rating too not so long ago...Toby posted it and I checked it out...Now they have an A rating...I'll bet Billy's life that IBD went back and cleared up all their complaints after they saw Toby's post.
