Anyway...I decided that since I'm really not much of a contest guy I'd just pick one at the beginning of the week that I liked and let it ride. I have enough trouble following my real life stuff...Doug"Trade What Is Happening...Not What You Think Is Gonna Happen"

My apologies for seeing the need to drag this into public, but ...
Spikefader, why are you exhibiting such cowardice in not responding to my private messages to you? And why have you twice banned me from your Scuttlebutt weekly contest without so much as one word of explanation? Acting that way is kind of cowardly and small, don't you think?—Rob

So from my perspective, I would just make the suggestion that your stop loss rule be made effective starting in March, just so players can get used to the idea beforehand- or there may be a bunch of confused players (think Stky, me, others who may not be so quick on the uptake).
Remember that I'll be taking the reins in Feb, and I won't be using the stop-loss rule (a bit too tricky for my scorekeeping ability), so to change it for two weeks, then change back may be tough for some to follow. Then again, maybe not! It's certainly your call, but you asked for feedback, and there you have it.

I would like to try it for a week or so before you take it for the month of February. Keeping score can be very easy if you are at all adept at using Excel. Monday is the only hard day getting all the picks in place. I could email you the template of the scorecard with everything on it that I have as far as the way it is set up and after that it is rather easy. It just becomes a matter of plugging in the formulas in each box to get the gains or losses for the day and then going to the next column and doing the same for the percentages. I have been working on trying to get the code in place, as Rob had, and hooking it up to some realtime watchlist and that does the work for you but I haven't gotten there yet. It takes me about 20/30 mins. a night to do it. If you have any questions I would be glad to help you with the formulas. Everyone else has been pretty good with helping with intraday prices on their trades and I would think that nothing would change in that respect. But you can keep the score on any scorecard or in any fashion that you want to when you're the one keeping score.
I'm going to keep the idea of the 7% stop loss in front of everyone's face this week and hopefully we can try in the week after next or like you said in the beginning of March or so. Thanks.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR
