VISA Windfall or Windbag?

Everytime I place a limit order and it gets filled it proves to have been too high therefore my V at 55 will probably get filled and drop although the chances look slim right now.

slim that it will get filled or that it will get filled at 55 and drop after that. i would be patient and remove the limit order. watch it at the open and see what it does.

I don't like to place a limit order that is lower than the price because I don't want it on its way down.

Today I put in a limit at 56.99 when it was about 56.88...By the time I went to the Confirm part it was already over 57...I think it was in the 57 teens...I thought maybe I was missing out so I changed it to 57.24...But then it starting dropping and I still had not clicked Confirm...In the end I saw that I had less than one min. left...I changed it to 56.87...when it went up over 56.70 I clicked Confirm...Got it at 56.62.

Doing all this stuff is common practice for me...that's why I can't post my trades on Forums right away...too busy.

Now, I still plan on selling most if not all early tomorrow...But I got home about 6:45 this evening and my wife and her two friends were just leaving to go see a play.

My wife says...Thanks for buying VISA for me...Oop's...I forgot that I bot it in her account...She saw the confirmation email before I got home...As she was leaving she told me..."Don't screw it up like you did on GOOG and MA...Sell V at $150"....Geez...After all these years you'd think she knew me better than that ...I yelled back...You're out in the morning...Maybe I'll buy it again for 'ya later...TRUE STORY!!!

She doesn't know her Account Password...Maybe I should change the email notification on her account???

As I posted on my thread...I trimmed at $59.00...+$2.38 in the first 2 minutes.

Later I put in a $2.00 trailer...it went to $64.00...I was out at $62.00....+$5.38

Worked pretty much according to plan altho I made more than my original target

VISA A compelling BUY

1. Major institutions will need to BUY more Visa ( V ) for their own mutual funds
2. They will continue to buy slowly on the open market ......surely the price will rise.
3. Buying VISA especially for a ROTH or other Tax sheltered account is a NO brainer .
4. Visa's first quarterly report is due out at the end of APRIL and blow out numbers are predicted.
5. The mandatory "Quiet" period put on the Institutions that handled the Visa IPO ends in around 40 days or April 20th ..institutions will they begin to Hype the stock ....many advisary services will hop on the bandwagon.

Gradually accumulate your positions before that all comes to past .....and hang on for doubles and triples in the yrs ahead

Boys and Girls this is a great company and will place many coins into your portfolio for years to come .

I didn't get any V yet but did get JPM which now owns 8% of V, a nice chunk of change. With its government backed steal of BSC, JPM's future looks rosy. A nice run up for JPM today but it didn't quite match V.

Doug, you are a hero. I bought V at 60 on Wednesday. Still holding (and smiling). My plan is to trim a bit at 80-something.

1. Visa processed 44 billion transactions totaling $3.2 Trillion in 2006 , Master Card handled 23.4 Billion transactions totalling $1.9 Trillion
2. Visa suffered a loss of 861 million in revenue on $5.2 Billion during its last fiscal quarter due to legal expenses . Visa promptly bounced back in its first fiscal quarter with a $424 million profit , a 70% increase over the previous year.....sweet!
3. VISA Executives told investors to expect earnings to increase by at least 20% during the next 2 years , and Visa plans to trim its buget by about 300 million over the same period, to help schieve that goal .

Well they released an extra 40.6 million shares. Maybe the dilution will cause a correction and I'll get in. My 55 limit order missed by .14 and may have cost me a bundle.

Well...I played it as an over night trade...worked out...I will be keeping it on my "A" watchlist for a longer term investment....I'd like to see it under 60...55 is kind of a stretch tho IMO

Did you buy BSC in real life? If so you are a sly old dog. About being an impetuous youth, that's what they said when I bought GOOG at 200 and sold at 300 and I proceeded to kick my own but until buying at 600 and selling at 700 . Another genius move was buying CME at 100 and selling at 200. I plan on living at least to see V hit 175 and by then 60 - 65 will be numbers to laugh at. We just need one more market bubble then everything will go into platinum and be stored inside my carved in a mountainside house.
