I like silver here at this level and am of the opinion that it goes back to $20 or so by years end.
Wow, thanks Ski. I hope you get a lot of offers for the coins. I personally think that this is a great way to protect some accumulated wealth AND offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the history of the good ole USA.

The FED will never make silver coins for circulation again- it's just too easy to run the printing presses and keep us all in check with inflation. Nixon screwed us all when the value of the dollar was disconnected and no longer backed from the value of gold reserves. It amazes me that some people still think that the US dollar is back by something other than the credit rating of the US government. Which may be in doubt after the fallout from this current crisis. Why else would T-bills yield basically nothing?

I heard that we may begin to circulate pennies made with 0% copper... amazing!

i am alive and well doug. this economic disaster in the mortage and banking industry is going to cost me and my principals big time bucks. but the only thing important to me is one's health, mental capacities, and the desire and drive to put together the next deal. i hope everything is well with you doug. i am sure your business is being affected by all of this.

Anyone have some thoughts regarding buying now? What should be bought? The physical metal, the mining companies, or the ETFs? Or is this recent upswing a selling opportunity?
Nobody has an opinion? Let's go sheeple!

Did you see the move in GLD and SLV today? Is the US dollar dead or what? It seems that everyone is running for safety.

When Spike reckons, it is best to listen. Silver traded as low as $12.50 an ounce! YIKES!!!

In an odd note, however, it seems that acquiring the physical metal is much more difficult than actually buying the paper product. I noticed that buyers on eBay are still willing to pay anywhere from 17.50 to 20+ per ounce for silver auctions. Just do a search for "999 silver bar" in eBay's internal search engine, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

$12.50 is an amazing price... Silver traded as high as $22 in March this year.
