ah well, maybe I can pull another 100% gainer out of my butt next week.
Well, just for the record, I'll reiterate my pick for the year, LJPC (although it's more than tripled already this month...)

Can't believe I'm going to do this, but going to take BAC long for the year. I've never tried identifying stocks to go more than a week to a month at most, but I think BAC is oversold, and has the potential to grow by the end of the year with all the Fed help spreading out. Even if it be only a few %, though my thought is that it could double or at least hit 10 before the year is out.

Good luck all ! Tomorrow at midnight is the last for picks ! Though I guess technically we could accept any picks prior to opening Monday, so unless anyone minds, you have until 9:29am to make a pick Monday February 2nd.

Good luck all ! Hope all of us make some green this coming year !

                            RDEA (long) for 2009

I reckon I'll veer from my "fundamentals/value" mindset for my choice this year and pick something a bit more speculative.

I'll take RDEA (long) for 2009....

Aye, used to count cards and play poker online This is much more fun though.

I don't like BAC as a company, used to have an account with them. My thought is that some of these financial companies hopefully have bottomed out.... and might make a small improvement this year.... hopefully Either that or I lose the contest but not my shirt

                                I'd trade BAC for BBT....

Just for what it's worth.... If I were to buy stock in an undervalued bank right now, it would be BBT.... I know some fellas that sit on it's board. A well-run outfit I reckon. Started after the Civil war in the 1870's as a farm bank and originally based in Wilson NC ..... Now keeps it's headquarters in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and has a Conservative, levelheaded group of business bankers on staff. I like BBT....

Your journey to better banking starts with Truist. Checking and savings accounts, credit cards, mortgages, small business, commercial banking, and more.
