Anyway, speaking of the IBD 100...I just checked out the IBD Forums for the first time in quite a while...I feel sorry for those s*ckers...Get a life!!!...Use IBD for info...not to make your decisions for you.

Actually, I think their Forum could be good if they cared enough to pay for an objective moderator...Heck, I'd do it for about $250,000 a year...Doug

Out of those 5 I only owned DHB. Got caught in that switch where the top officers all unloaded their stock right after I bought it at around $20. It fell like a brick an I lost bigtime before I got out. But CYD was one of my biggest winners an made up for DHB's losses and more. Was in an out of it several times. Doug you should have known that one. Every one of them is in the crapper now.

Amazingly, you may be right , but that's not the answer I was looking for. They are all in the top 10 of biggest losers of 2005 , having lost between 70 - 80% of their value.

I had forgotten all about CYD . It also was one of my biggest winners. Did you own it when they paid the monster special dividend ? I'm not sure if it was a special dividend , but I thought it was a mistake when it showed up in my portfolio total value didn't know anything about it in advance. Got out a month or so before it was too late.

What is the problem with IBD's forum ? I've been wondering that myself. Mr. Market's is an open forum , but doesn't attract the nuts like IBD's . Is it just too big ? You'd think they'd get a highly informed group over there , but it's not the case. We sure have a good bunch here. Nobody's called me an idiot yet. Haven't found any site that can match this one.

The problem with the IBD Forums is that it is just a bunch of "mindless hype" ...It actually could be worthwhile if they were not too cheap to hire somebody to moderate and guide it.

There is a lot of good info produced by IBD...But not many know how to use that info to their financial benefit...And IBD doesn't seem to be interested in showing anyone how to do it IMO....Their seminars are a waste of $$$ IMO

I think this forum is very good...Because Mr. M allows the ideas of others to be freely posted whether they are his cup of tea or not. But there are some others that also are good...I think the key to running a good forum is the allowance of open communication between members....and knowing when to put your foot down when things get outta hand.

I probably spend way too much time on Stock forums, Chats etc...At least my wife says I do...But I'd say this one is very beneficial...Many good ideas traded.

But...Although I think the IBD Forums are a bunch of BS overall...I will admit...I met my trading partner there in 2003...So, I don't really want to bash 'em too much..Got my money's worth many times over...Plus I have a "Very Best Friend & Trading Partner" thanks to their Forum....Doug(IIC)

It was on Morpheus Trading Groups stalk sheet several times. I must have been in an out of it at least 3 times during the initial runup and then again after it have fallen on bad times and was in the mid 20's range. I would have to go back an look but I think it may have been the first play after the DHB debacle for me and was like a quart of blood at the time. I've forgotten all about it. Wonder how it is doing now. Will have to take a look. Wow, terrible slide down. Closed at $8.41 Friday.

Seriously, I've found no other place like this. I belong to a private yahoo forum and the fellas there are cool guys and great traders, but the yahoo format sucks.... one Looooong thread. The multiple thread format here is awesome! I got sorta pissed off at ol Karel this week (btw we talked privately and I feel like a dog now. I gotta work on that hair trigger) But I think that dude keeps this place pretty clean, yet we aren't policed and micro-managed. I love this place!

I must apologize for my one time spanking. But do you feel that you are a better trader over the long run for it? Some people don't even realize it but they love to get spanked, that's why they keep doing the same things over an over again. You seem to have become aware of the fact that you can make yourself into a better trader by remaining open minded an absorbing from what's around you.
