How to make money with "uptrenders"

A simple explanation would be to buy stocks that appear 3X or more on this list. These all have great fundamentals and keep bouncing back both in price and volume.

Here are 3 examples: ENTR, SPRD, ACTG

ENTR- posted 3/13, 3/16 (ski recommends buy), 3/19, 3/29. River buys at 4.86 around 3/29 price hits 8.33 on 8/10. If she held that's +71%

SPRD- posted 5/5, 5/18, 5/21, 6/2, 6/21. I buy at 8.40 on 8/29 and sell at 10.59 on 8/9 gain of 26%

ACTG- posted4/23, 5/10, 6/15, 6/25, 7/13. I buy at 14.73 on 6/29. It gains 18.6% today. Still holding.

Stocks can't get posted 2 consecutive days. Only if they drop below the qualifying levels , then rebound, are they reposted. Therefore, stocks posted multiple times show great resiliency. They also must have volume increase of 50% above average to be mentioned.

Although River and Ski could tell you more about the charts on these 3, they appear to oscillate within a 5 point range and can be quite profitable if played correctly.

So be on the lookout for repeaters and good luck!

Billy, take a look at FCFS, GMCR, ANV.

I made some money with Sep $25 calls on GMCR. It still looked good, so I picked up some Dec $35 calls.

ANV is also doing well for me. I have Dec $25 calls...Thanks Pete!
FCFS came up in a search about 2 weeks ago, picked up some Dec $25 calls.

All 3 have really nice fundamentals. Have a good weekend.

None meet the volume requirements today

The time for testing is over! After 6 months of tracking uptrenders and tweaking the system, I've made purchases of just 2 of these stocks, SPRD and ACTG and pocketed a quick $2100.

A quick review: Uptrenders must meet these qualifications.

1. Up at least 1.5% for the day.

2. Have minimum daily volume of 100K average and have volume at least 1.5X average for the day.

3. Have just cracked the VV propietary rating of 1.4 on a scale of 2.0 of value, safety, timing.

4. It cannot be listed on consecutive days. It must drop below the 1.4 level then rise above it while meeting the other requirements to be relisted.

Any stock listed 3X in a 60 days of trading shows great resiliency in volume and price and makes my buy list. In the last 12 trading weeks only 9 stocks have made the list 3X.

These have made the list 2X and should be watched closely for their 3rd appearance: AEIS, BAP, CMI, FFIV, LFL, NANO, SAN, TRS, and TSCO.

I'd buy those that hit the 3rd time and put a 4% stop while targeting a 16% gain.

Just check out the last 3 that qualified and their performance from the qualifying date.
