This is an interesting company that makes in-home, in-clinic and hospital dialysis sytems. Most of their revenue comes from sale of supplies, needles, tubing, etc. Yes, the increasing revenues look good. The patient testimonials are very good. Their major customers are Fresenius and DaVita. I don't see anything wrong here on the surface. So, it's probably a good long term play, now that it's pretty beaten down. Very low volume stock today though. AV. vol. 462,291 daily; today at 3:05 only 60,201. Technically it's hitting resistance at the 9 day. Daily oscillating in a down channel with lower highs and lower lows. Many here are strong on fundies, but I'm not one. Looks like a solid company with improving revenues. I don't see any catalysts coming up to move the stock, other then a strengthening market overall. Interesting, just not short term I think.

I gotta say, you have really fascinating friends, billyjoe! Hey, live by your wits. You're right! As for "all things medical:" that could get pretty big. Maybe we should start a new thread, but keep the baby biotechs separate because they're pretty unique.

    River,
Maybe this thread can be a catchall for all things medical related?
A friend of mine survives on his wits, a < $100 a month pension, and social security. He pays cash for everything including medical bills that he often negotiates with the hospital and doctors. Recently he paid $2200 in cash for a surgical procedure. The doctor's receptionist told him she'd never written a receipt for such a large amount as all she usually takes in is either mostly paid for by insurance or a few dollars for co-pay.

One of his greatest acheivements is in real estate. He once said he thought he'd never bought a house without a leaky roof. The bank was glad to be rid of his last investment and nobody else even looked at it. A real leaker from roof to basement until he fixed it. He lived in it for several years with a small converted apartment for his mother until her death. He got back 100K for his 26K investment.

    River,
I just knew you'd be aware of CBLI and the radiation connection. I think you first mentioned CBLI in 2006 after I mentioned a new pain pump being used at Cleveland Clinic.

Just checked the twitter board for ALZM. Looks like a definite PUMP right now.
Also googled it: Definitely a pump. http://www.hotstocked.com/article/41...m-makes-a.html
River thanx just received this email "Elliot Brady picked up 8,000 shares of ALZM at 1.01
reasoning: looks like it could be the next mailer runner!" Apparently ALZM paid 800K for the PUMP ......lets see what happens as the mailers and email goes out ......personally I think the company is BS ......BUT money can be made with a sell limit order.

Usually something goes up within these; stocks, oil, gold or silver but not today, except HGSI. What are your thoughts on HGSI? Do you think it's worth a look or worthy of some cash?

    Thank you,
HGSI today got FDA approval for its Lupus drug. That's why the jump (the positive coin toss). I wouldn't buy in now. A lot of sellers who held through the decision and now will take profit. I heard HGSI is a potential takeover candidate, but who knows? They have a co-marketing agreement with GSK. I'll let you know if I hear anything more.

At least you got some. Did you see the volume? At 3:30 it is over 58 million. I'm sure I saw over a million in volume yesterday also, even though it wasn't public, the volume was registering. Really strange I thought.
