    River,
Here's one not mentioned for a long time......AFFX. A person I won't name that has an outstanding track record of stock picking likes it and I just bought quite a bit and am willing to hold for 6 months or more. Their business is genetic analysis, DNA chips, and reagents.

I still love DNDN and am in for the long haul. I especially liked this analysis of the convertible debt sale: http://www.minyanville.com/businessm...als&from=yahoo

    and this: http://www.fool.com/investing/high-g...portunity.aspx

JP Morgan analyst Cory Kasimov, in a note to clients last Friday, called Dendreon's European strategy a "tasty pre-conference appetizer." He added that the drug has an 85% chance of winning approval for sale in Europe, and could reach $2.25 billion in sales there by its peak year of 2018 -- even more than its $2 billion peak annual sales potential in the U.S. In his view, that means the Provenge European prospects are worth about another $17 a share, and the stock could climb to $66 a share by December, Kasimov said.

    Love those happy trails!

Thanks for sharing your opinion and the link.
It is always good to get a second set of eyes not to mention the experience shared on this board. I really appreciate it!

I tend to agree with this assessment. Unless, of course, someone has money to tie up while waiting relatively long term for the data to come in.

Anyway, looks like much good news for NYMX, what with a $13M deal with Recordati for EU+ distribution of anti-enlarged prostate drug. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Nymox-....html?x=0&.v=1 and also $15M in equity financing from institutions.
Increased volume today, with some profit taking at the close. Hit 8.00 at one point, closed at 7.59. Hope you got in at the open, around 7.00, if you got in at all. Love Canadian companies, especially this one's strong tie with McGill University (one of the biggies). Their product is in Phase 3 clinical studies, looks like it requires only one treatment for at least 5 years of benefit. http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/da...xhibit99-1.htm In a way, that's a detriment, eh? No daily pills or anything. But as long as the population (male) keeps aging, there should be a steady flow of customers. (Imagine the surprise of all the old guys here on MrM when they find out they won't have to pee "urgently" or to get up two or three times a night to pee any more.) It sounds like a really great product. Couldn't find any information on an NDA filed in the US yet, or on how long the Phase 3 studies will be going on.

I actually like this company. Some analyst has 14.50 target on it.
Bringing comfort to those old guys is important to my trading account. If this company doesn't make it, then I guess there is always Depends...

Steel, you're right WOW! I'm thinking about it too. But going to be conservative anyway. Currently holding 3 (too many) biotechs: DNDN, DCTH and BMRN. Looking for byouts on #1 and #3, and a positive 60-day acceptance of NDA for examination by FDA in mid-Feb as a catalyst for #2.

This company (Titan Medical) has apparently been in business since 2002. They are developing one product -- a robotic surgery device. The stock is listed on the Toronto TSX venture market. They recently had a (for raising money) shelf offering of stock at 1.65 plus one warranty good for buying a share of common at 1.85 anytime in next 5 years. At that rate, they must have plans to bring this to market sometime up to 5 years. It's a little pricey at this early stage for me.
There is nothing on the web site that I could see that describes their progress in terms sufficient to judge how far along they are. Interesting that you should find this. I think it's money parked for a long time, too long for my taste.

I agree with you on this one billy. I won some and lost some this year, leaving me break-even on biotech. Am going to be super conservative on all these this year.
