Wow! Thank you Micro! You picked a winning stock for me and I am eternally grateful! Will happily wait for that year, especially since XOM is sniffing around BP. Also, this was in my inbox this AM, but you probably already know:

BP Holds Talks to Sell Assets to Apache

BP is in talks to sell assets, including stakes in its Alaska oil fields, to Apache for $10 billion to $12 billion, The New York Times reports, citing a person briefed on the matter.

Should a deal be reached -- one is not expected immediately -- it would help provide BP with additional money to pay for cleaning up the immense oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Talks are continuing and may not result in a transaction, this person cautioned.

Among the assets that may be sold is BP's 26 percent stake in the Prudhoe Bay field in Alaska's North Slope, the largest oil field in North America.

        River,
.......BP have now managed to fit a new valve over the the ruptured pipe and will know if it has been successful within two days when they start to close valves on it to see if it will contain the pressure of the oil pouring out!!!,BP makes approx $20 billion per year profit; they have spent approx $2.5 billion on the clean up so far, so if they spend treble that it still leaves them $12.5 to play with.Remembering that O"barma couldn't keep his mouth shut and stopped BP from paying out quite a large dividend so they have still a sizable chunk of money to play with!. Personally i cannot see BP selling off any of the silver ware, this would make the company weaker and open for a take-over; BP is one of the most successful companies on the planet so it will be very interesting to see what happens from here. On a happy note shares in BP.L are up 14% in 2 days and a total of 40% from their lows in June....LOL.
