[QUOTE=billyjoe;121367]noshady, Like you said ETRM is highly speculative. My information is that next earnings report is July 28th. Analysts seem to like it. Do you want to gamble on a great earnings report? If it misses you could easily be down another 10% or more. Whenever I've taken such chances I lose at least 75% of the time. Is it a gamble or an investment? I'm with whoever said. "Trade what is happening, not what you think will happen".

I recognize the quote. It's from our very own IIC. Thanks Billy. I need to get out of it. Maybe it will go up a little tomorrow and I can minimize my loss. Maybe.

Hmmmmm...... DL I know we've talked about this one before but: love the EPS's and the Q/Q's, the tiny short ratio, pays a dividend, and look at the formation! Interesting.

Folks Gezzzzzz I do appreciate all you comments on some of the picks. Remember BioPharma stocks recently took a hit , and when the chairman of the federal reserve in a hearing before congress says that , "The Stocks Of Small Biotech companies were substantially stretched" that only adds fuel to the fire. My dad always had a saying when bad news appeared and that saying was , "It's not the end of the world, and this too shall pass", and it always did.
Keep the faith folks the picks are good.
GILD just reported quarterly results today and they were good. Read this http://seekingalpha.com/pr/10554925-...-results?app=n

On deck to report earnings for for tomorrow are BMY and CELG ......keep your fingers crossed!

GILD LATEST SCOOP! GILD holders read this http://seekingalpha.com/article/2336...nings?uprof=11 GILD is not a flash in the pan , and it is a strong stock, and strong well into the future from what I see. I think that $100 price will be taken out soon! GILD Stock Chart: http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=gild&ty=c&ta=1&p=d

          HOT OFF THE PRESS!!

CELG Earnings Press Release http://seekingalpha.com/pr/10560475-...-results?app=n A Yahoo Poster Likes CELG, and so do I , Read This Yahoo Post , " I don't see where everyone keeps saying mixed guidance. they raise revenues from 7.5 to 7.6 billion and raised the EPS from 3.50 - 3.60 to 3.60 - 3.65. If you go buy their own guidance that puts them on a path to 7.50 (split adjusted) EPS for 2017, I would say they are clearly beating their own goals. If CELG sells off at all, I will be adding to it. this will be back to $150 by 2017 for another double on top of the last one. This stock just keeps doubling and makes me feel like a genius for buying it"

On June 22 2014 EXEL was one of my picks Read This from 6/22/14 : EXEL http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=exel&ty=c&ta=1&p=d Folks what's not to like about EXEL READ THIS : What's significant about Exelixis is its pipeline versus its low valuation. It currently has five Phase 3 trials going on, but has a market cap of around $700M.
The company has a lead candidate called Cometriq [cabozantinib], or cabo. Cabo is in two Phase 3 trials in prostate cancer. One is a 960-patient study with overall survival as the primary endpoint, and the other is a 246-patient study treating prostate cancer, with confirmed pain control as primary endpoint. Both of these trials are double-blind. If the drug could show an overall survival benefit, it would not need positive results in the pain-control trial to get approval.
EXEL for sure is risky but it does have an $11 price target on it!

EXEL will release earnings for the quarter on Thursday 7/31/14 ....Today 7/24/14 EXEL closed UP a NICE 11+% Look Here http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=exel&ty=c&ta=1&p=d There is also the possibility that EXEL will be acquired possibly by Hoffman La Roche!

P7 said, "My dad always had a saying when bad news appeared and that saying was , "It's not the end of the world, and this too shall pass", and it always did."

Reminds me of the crash of 1987, when I worriedly told my husband "OMG, the Dow just dropped over 500 points today!" He said, "Don't worry, it'll come back." And it did. That's why I stay calm whether in the red or green. It's just easier to bet on a market direction because it will always eventually go the way you've bet. Bet on the huge one's individual stocks with fundamentals. Bet with bull and bear ETFs on direction. Collect big dividends. Easy, eh? (Who am I kidding?)

Right. Even the Nasdaq. It's almost back to its all-time high reached when I was 15. Next year I'll be 30.

Today was a rough day for the markets and many of my picks dropped , but AVEO was looking good!
Read this article from 6/16/14. http://www.forbes.com/sites/greatspe...rtner=yahootix You may just wish to sink some speculative coin into AVEO. Not much downside , but HUGE upside!

AVEO could be HUGE , but as you well know any stock can turn on a dime and head south fast. I do feel that AVEO was beaten down but it sure looks like it could run much higher!

Folks with hoards of illegal aliens flooding over our borders , and many with diseases, and some with drug resistant TB , medical supplies , vaccines etc., will be in great demand. Some may be coming to a city near your . A reliable source told me that 1,500 were taken to Atlantic City NJ , and are being housed and cared for there, all very hush, hush of course. God forbid the Ebola virus comes to the US then we are all F***** , as the virus kills 95% of those who contract it.

Why are we taking them in? If they are illegal, why aren't they just shoving them back over? It's crazy what they are doing. And yes, if Ebola makes it over here, we're F***** and in a very big hurry.

Below are some excerpts from a letter released by the Most Reverend Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop of Cincinnati, on July 28, 2014.

"A tragic humanitarian crisis has emerged on our own nation’s border. By the end of September, 90,000 unaccompanied children are expected to have migrated from Central America to seek safety here. While some may claim that the children are coming to receive immigration benefits, the U.S. Catholic Church, among many others, are asserting that the majority of children are fleeing persecution from organized crime networks in their countries. Violence and coercion, including extortion, kidnapping, threats, and coercive and forcible recruitment of children into criminal activity, are perpetrated by transnational criminal organizations and gangs ....

.... innocent boys and girls victimized, sold into sex trafficking, and brutally killed. Under such circumstances, children and their parents face a stark choice: Stay and become a likely victim of violence or make a dangerous journey of thousands of miles to a place of possible safety. This is why the Church is declaring this a humanitarian crisis, requiring a response similar to that which we have for refugees rather than that for regular immigrants.
