ps... not sure if BLK will apply as today's close may push the yield lower than yesterday's. Let me know if I need to pick a different one.Originally posted by billyjoe View PostPeanuts,
Pick again, BLK at 3.1%.

I haven't heard from spike since last march, Lye stops in at the old chat box now and then...but last I heard his parents weren't doing to well....Thom closed his futures chat box and Drew and him disappeared....
Happy New Years to you and yours.....

Some great picks coming in. Jiesen and Deaddog we still need your second picks.
I got a great example today in the mail of what reinvesting dividends can do in the long run. NJR, sent me their annual report. NJR only pays a 3.09% dividend as of today's close, lower than any of our contestants' picks.
Yet, since 1995, $10,000 put into NJR stock with dividends reinvested would give you $81,875 as of Oct. 2011. They regularly increase dividends. Example: 2007-$1.01/sh 2011- $1.44/sh. I'd like to have 8X the cash I had in 1995. And imagine reinvesting with just 3 examples from these submitted picks: Riverbabe's FSC-13.05%, Phoenix's TNH-9.29%, or Mr. Market's BPT-9.11%. Is anybody putting their $$ in bank savings accts. anymore?
