I'm going to give a small capsule overview of each stock starting with Wooish's NYB (disclosure, I own stock in NYB)

NYB , New York Community Bank is a holding company comprised of The New York Community Bank and The New York Commercial Bank. Headquartered in New York, acquisitions also give them branches in Arizona, New Jersey, Ohio, and Florida. They provide family, real estate, commercial, and industrial loans. They offer checking, savings accounts, IRA's, and CD's.

With assets of 42 billion their market cap is 5.6billion.
NYB stock is held by 60 ETFs

    Currently paying a .25 quarterly dividend 7.68%. their dividend history has improved from .09 /qtr. in 1/30/02 to .25 /qtr since 8/3/04.

      Wooish continued:

VZ, Verizon Communications Inc., a Dow Jones Component stock is a global telecommunications and broadband stock. Started as Bell Atlantic in 1983, it is the product of several acquisitions notably GTE in 2000 and MCI in 2005. Trading as VZ since 7/3/2000 the Verizon name is probably a takeoff of "horizon".

Headquartered in New York City, VZ has a market cap of 111 billion with 2.79% of shares held in ETF's.

The quarterly dividend of .50 (5.22%) has been on a steady upswing since the Bell Atlantic days rising to its current level from .35 qtr of 10/5/95.

it would be easy for you to set up the list in Excel Phoenix so that I tracks the list on a daily basis and makes the changes automatically for you. you can then watch the progress or negative progress of every stock.
