No, I closed that trade at $596.50... was automatically triggered. I forgot that I put that trigger on, but glad that I did. I left some gains on the table, but looking back, I'm lucky that I had any gains at all. If I was still holding, then I'd be licking my wounds after a sell yesterday. Pushing to new highs like this is a bull that I do not want to play "toro" with. If I was still short, then I would have covered yesterday.

What do you think of this possibility?

Thanks for those. MLNX has a higher return if you short now, but also at higher risk. BIDU seems like lower return for medium risk. I would rather short MLNX and keep it on a short leash. Both are looking weak... thanks again

Just saw this in inbox. Might be worth a consideration for the short lovers.

              Splk

Billie SPLK is touted as a short by NIA , but that outfit appears to pump and dump, SYNC was highly touted by them every day until it collapsed and lost about 50% of its value.....as for me I would NOT SHORT or go long on SPLK!
Let me know if want to short this one?

Phoenix, Just did some checking on Splunk and it looks like kerplunk !

It's way below the 20dma, just dropped below the 50dma , and is heading south towards the 100dma. It is 70% institutionally owned and 20% owned by insiders. Over the last 6 months insiders have sold 12.7 million shares and bought 0. It looks real bad.

ALXN or CRUS but I still like BIDU

                    Hi Peanuts

I been meaning to ask you for the past two weeks, but, I’ve been lazy as usual. Both ALXN and CRUS reported great earnings and outlooks and yet they both struggled at the 50 DMA maybe due to the market in a correction.

After earnings, ALXN has been spending several days below the 50 DMA line in high volumes and just crossed the 200 DMA. Maybe this still have downward mobility.

CRUS has been spending several weeks below the 50 DMA in moderate volumes before earnings. March quarter outlook is down 15% and 200 DMA is near by, maybe short when it crosses it?

I still like BIDU because it just crossed the 200 DMA and QIHU is going to steal another 10% of their market share.

I don’t know if these stocks have hit the floor yet, but, I hoping for more gravitational pull. What do you think?

                      Excellent looking short stocks, JH.

ALXN... wait for a bump higher, and short away. This ugly duckling is a duck
CRUS volatility can bite you... I am cautiously pessimistic on this. I think it could give shorts a run and then switch back into favor

BIDU looks like a great longer term short... great eyes for this. Even better that there is weakness in the sector and a competitor taking share.

I have my short vision locked on the banking sector going into the year's end:

                        JPM
                        PNC
                        BAC
                        C

These all look like they could go lower

                              "Who Owns DaVita:

DaVita’s largest shareholder is Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, holding 10.8% of the company as of the most recent filing. Berkshire has also been increasing its position over the past few months.
Three major hedge funds also hold ownership stakes in DaVita: Lone Pine Capital; Viking Global Investors, and Pennant Capital.
Investor beware: despite recent success and growth, if these whistleblowers gain traction with the media, government, and public much like the investigation last time around – as they are currently seeking to do on CNN – DaVita’s stock could tumble quickly.

                              Why So Quiet?

As of Thursday morning, the only mainstream news media hits about DaVita are short summaries of the show’s report. So far, CNN aside, the media is giving this the silent treatment – it remains whether to be seen whether the government will pursue these charges." (emphasis mine, sell the rumor, buy the news?)
