Have been having good luck buying almost immediately after seeing strong upward earnings revisions or initiated coverage with upward revisions. I like at least 3 initiates on same day. Newest is LYG at 5.12. Checked volume and price to see if market has reacted yet. Seem to be getting news before many services can send it out online and especially in print.

EPE coverage was just initiated by 11 firms mostly all with market perform to outperform ratings with price targets ranging from $23-$28. In addition for no good reason the price dropped yesterday from 19.10 to 18 at market close. They announced earnings this morning in line with estimates and had a press conference at 10 AM. I attempted to get in cheaply with a limit order at 17.50 but soon realized it wasn't dropping below 18. After several attempts order filled at 18.30. EPE explores for oil and natural gas at holdings of 619,000 acres of mostly oil shale in Louisiana, Texas, and Utah. A 20% upside would be 21.96, below even the lowest estimate of the 11 analysts.

I own EPE at 18.70. Up a solid 7% to date and looking for future gains. I enjoyed the linked article that discussed EPE potential as well as other energy stocks. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/energy...125516957.html
On another note, I'm kicking myself for not picking up PBR when it was at 10.5-11.5 I have been watching it for some time.

            AAMRQ becomes AAL airlines

At present values I'll get another 40+ . A double is great considering I bought right before the merger with LCC that created AAL. Most thought all the money had already been made. One guy bought 20,000 shares Oct. 2012 at .36 for $7200. He now has close to $400,000 with another big distribution in 28 days.

Another update. Received 4th distribution today. Another 44 shares. Total now 176 at 35.29. Even with today's big drop value is $6211. I paid $2993 Nov.18th and there may be another distribution at the end of June. I paid 12.43 in real life after dropping it as my pick in the $10-$15 contest. Good chance this will be my only double this year. Bright light on a dreary day.

Sold at 34.64 today for +104% plus an extra $54 cash that must have been left over from fractional shares at distribution. The market worries me and I wanted to have a 100%er this year.

Today I bought RFMD at 9. Might also be buying TQNT shortly. There's lots of positive news concerning their upcoming merger despite the fact both stocks are way up for the year RFMD +80% and RFMD +75%. The exact details of the new stock distribution should be out shortly.

Update, Now up 5.09% on RFMD. Upcoming merger with TQNT and continued success of AAPL bodes well for supplier RFMD.

Now up 10.5% on RFMD. Sometimes these trades actually work out as planned. Meanwhile, blood brother, TQNT, is at 16.50 ,past Mr. Market's target. I don't blame him for holding longer, but what happened to TQNT on the Mr.Market personal site. Have I been in a time warp for 3 years?

I'm always on the lookout for good high dividend paying stocks. Thanks to Motley Fool for bringing SeaDrillLtd. SDRL to my attention.
Paying a whopping 10% dividend that has been steadily increasing for the last 6 years, SDRL is in the strong Petroleum Drilling group.
Only up 2.49% YTD, SDRL has begun an upward trend but still at 40 is 20% lower than last year's high of 48. With a very low P/E, a PEG of just .20, and an EPS Q/Q of 633% SDRL is projected to earn on average 18.7% per year for the next 5 years. ROA is a nice 21% with volume showing a steady increase for several months. Well above their 20,50,and 200 day simple moving average I'm a buyer here just under 40.

Update Now +14.7% on RFMD but down 6.4% on SDRL but they do pay the 10%+ div. so I'll be holding for now.
