And they’re off! The 2022 PotY contest has begun. It was a bit off a rough first week, but we still have a few picks that are off to a good start. Congrats to Louetta and her pick, GBTC, for becoming our first leader. Closely behind are Tiedyed1’s AUPH and Minni17’s OGN. Keep those gains coming!

The year is long and many things can happen. They got downgraded a little, but I personally think it’s still a good pick. Besides, I think that there’s a high risk that a lot of our picks are going to get beaten down pretty badly if the Ukraine crisis doesn’t resolve peacefully.

Wow, just wow! What a week, and as a result we had quite a shake up in the standings. Our only three picks in the green are at the top of the leaderboard with Minni17’s OGN running counter to the market and vaulting into first place. Tiedyed1’s AUPH is in second followed my last week’s leader, Louetta’s GBTC. If this market gloom and doom continues, we could be in for another long and rough year.

Yeah no kidding! Only 3 weeks in and already down 3% across the board. If this keeps up, the market would be down >50% by the year end....

Hopefully nobody gets hurt over in the Ukraine. That is probably the biggest question looming for stock trader's peace of mind... and for everyone else's as well.

Yikes! Thank goodness for a late bounce because the market sure got clobbered earlier in the week as the crisis in the Ukraine reached a boiling point. My hearts and prayers go out to the poor people caught in the middle. As for the PotY contest, we had another shakeup at the top although Minni17’s OGN still looks pretty strong and remains in first place by a comfortable margin. Unbelievably, there are still three other green positions in the mix (my very own DOCN, Jiesen’s QDEL, and Louetta’s GBTC), all of which are clustered closely behind the leader. Oh well, something tells me this is going to be a volatile year. Better fasten your seat belts.

Wow, yet another one on the chin this week as the market took another beating. It’s early, but this year’s contest is shaping up to be another brutal one on the heels of 2021’s poor performance. At least we have one decent performer in Minni17’s OGN. Ahhh, what can I say but hope springs eternal.

As always, thoughts and prayers for the people of the Ukraine whose troubles are far greater than a poorly performing market.
