I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. ENG - you probably saw the weekly upper channel tag that signals profit-taking. Sellers at 6.00 this morning were very smart resistance sellers. Price has fallen below S2 intraday and price might look attractive for a buy, especially after an intraday 5th wave completion and an apparent intraday double bottom at 5.34, and arguably an abc correction, selling at c that looks like it's failed opening the door for bulls. BUT, weekly channel hits and profit-taking can be significant, so I'd stand aside on buying this one until it sets up lower channel long. Now, should price rocket and bust that 6.00, then that may change the perspective, but until that happens, the odds are that sellers will outnumber buyers in coming weeks.
OK, re-evaluation of ENG with recent price action, and I'm bullish on it! It's acting very very bullish. Strong week in the face of a bearish weekly candle, channel turn ups, ascending triangle on the 5 day hourly, hot sector and group right now, so I'm going to buy it Monday morning if I get the chance - somewhere in the 5.95 area hopefully.
Look for the ABC and play the C long is the plan I'd draw up. And if it gives you a purple channel long day first, take it long there, and exit on the B completion, and wait for the C to go long again.
Spike, I think I'll wait for the "c" to take it long if it gets bot.
As far as technicals go, readers of this thread know that I love regression channels, and channel long days to enter on intraday pattern confirmation. I like this conservative approach, being patient to wait for weakness in a stock, and attempt to catch the turn up. I also love channel turn ups and will be more aggressive with entries.
I'll post a channel analysis of BMHC in a minute, but for now, here is a very simple technique to spot moments on an hourly chart where there is a new trend, and confirming money flow going into that trend:
BMHC recent past. Note the channel long day that I look for. Coincided with a bullish zero line reject on Money Flow, and now 2xchannel turn ups to aggressively chase.
Spike,
Regarding your KBH post , is the next technical entry at 81 ? I'm not sure I'm reading it correctly. Thanks.

On this chart, you want to wait until Money Flow indicator hits 70, then buy it if the PSAR is still bullish. You're waiting for those 2 conditions to be present together (bullish PSAR and money flow of 70). That is the buy point.

As another example of this setup, here is ENG this morning.
