I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Spike, I'm finally getting the heck out of ScottSCHISS and moving over to IB and I'm in the middle of the online app and I have never been asked so many liability, 'I agree' questions ever when switching brokers... I just though it was funny...I'm looking forward to it and I may need some help in the beginning with it.
Congrats; wise move! The TWS platform is very good. Read the manual; it's worth it. Program some hot keys for your orders and for modifying values before you transmit. Practise on the demo platform too; that's a good way to learn the functions and get really familiar with hotkeys before you use them real life. Only takes a short time and is worth it. Good luck!
On SOSA guys, you've got potential double top there, with a channel short on Friday. The multiday count looks it's had 5 completion up to Friday's high and the 'abc' with 'c' failing, so it sets up short while that's going on.
I see SOSA has violated my channel on 09/12.. 12.22 would put it back in the channel
Go to HOT PICK OF THE DAY for my view. And remember, Spike's view is the more experienced, more studied, and more valuable view.
Well gosh, thanks but I must give you kudos for the value of your charting NB! You made a good read on HOV, and are making good reads every day, and bringing loads of value to readers. I am impressed with how quickly you have familiarized yourself with this stuff. You are obviously a very clever dude. Some small things I might view or interpret differently than you (like how you don't necessarily use significant highs or lows when drawing your channels), but that's a good thing.

THANK YOU, Spike, for the correction on my charting! ANYTIME, and I mean, ANYTIME, you see some mistake I am making, by all means, point it out to me! I'd appreciate it! I want to get as good as my teacher Spike!
Hi Spike,
I read your comments about SNAK and they sound ominous. Didn't it bounce right off the lower channel on Friday? I've noticed that when I use stockcharts, that for some time now, it is not as incorruptable as it was. Meaning, i seem to be able to manipulate the placement of lines whereas in the past, they would simply snap into position. Has something changed with the site?
(I thought you might like that bull with the rocket pack for your collection.)

LOL, yes, I chuckled when I saw it. Thank you (and MM) for sending it to me. I like it so much I'm gonna use it as my avatar
SNAK; yes ominous if it fails at 5.57 now. I'm still holding from 5.95 and quietly confident that we're going to see a bullish week.
Yes, it did bounce off Friday's channel. Intraday pattern is bullish in my view; (inverted SHS).
Re stockcharts, I haven't noticed anything unusual. It's java based, so did you recently update your java? Otherwise, can't think of why it would be doing that for you....
@ NBB; hehe you're welcome. The way I look at using the significant highs and lows is that it keeps things more consistent and less prone to errors of interpretation. But there's nothing to say the way you're using them isn't as good though. But OK, if you want me to post comments on stuff like that where I wouldn't do it that way I will, but only as long as it's clear that I'm not saying 'do it this way or you're wrong'. All I'd be saying is that's not precisely how I'd do it

Spike,
Please do comment! How can a man learn without being able to take correction? I welcome your comments anytime.
Closed this swing at break even today. I contemplated closing at open today for +70 (considering intraday Vector has been bearish from open), but I gave it every chance to surprise and that was the plan.
Meanwhile caught a nice ride south on a short scalp that turned into an intraday hold for +40 and again holidng short from 10605 and I think I'll put a stop to b/e and let the market give what it will. I am surprised the bull is sleeping though, especially given the volume on Friday, but at least I'm getting some cash out of this bearish action.
