I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Yep dmk, a bear now. Vector bearish close. Channel shorts on SPX COMPX INDU. Lower weekly channel on INDU is 9200 and rising. Price now falling from heavy vol by price on the weekly. We could see 9850 pretty quickly now if enough fear kicks in. That fear chart NB posted is a showing the potential for serious down side.
There are times to be worried about longs, and this is one of those times. It's just 'potential' and may not happen; bull might step up. But until it does I'm bearish. Yes, high fear in that chart can be a good buying opp, but you have to time catching falling knives very well. Remember, there is no siren that sounds before a black Monday. It is a totally surprising thing. There might be whispers - and that is the current stuff I'm seeing now. They are whispers. Extreme caution is warranted here. I'll be a bull soon enough, but for now, I'm fastening my seatbelts for the potential ride down. If Dow 10156 fails the potential just explodes and it'll be either 9900 9700 or 9200 pretty quickly.
Spike could you give your opinion of LEXRs ah action?
It dropped to 6.90 and rallied back to 7.90.My short order did not get filled at 7.93 during regular hours.May look to do it again tomorrow.
Earnings are claimed to be good, but a selloff of near 15% and then return to near closing price has me perplexed.
cordially Tom
I'm was initially surprized it bounced so well...until I remembered the gap was there. I still perceive the chart as setting up short from that pivot; price still under it and stop to 8.25 now (AH double top).
Are your orders defaulted to reg market hours? Had you been with IB your limit order would have filled nicely and you'd have seen a quick +10% only to be stolen away with the passage of time heh. NB is right; you really should be trading with a direct access broker. You are denying yourself!
Spike do you think that If CBI moves above It's 200 day that I might get In as a retracment play or am I better to move on to another pick and take this as a learning experience. Did not have a stop on It as It was acting good and I'm always close by but stepped out to the store for a bit came back down $6.00. Was thinking of MSFT but looks like lots of overhead?
Greetings,
LEXR dropping to the gap, which one is the question of the day.
Your right about the IB ,I have liquidated all positions in 1 acct.and am waiting for PBT to pay off by the 20th of nov to sell that position, and Im off.

Acting very bearish on the daily, and expanding channel long on the weekly, so here's what I'd do if I'd made the error: I'd buy a second position in it at current prices 22.64 and put a stop on the full position at 21.75 and walk away if it takes me out. Risking 4% on the second position to give you a chance to extricate yourself with less pain on the first.
If yesterday's low doesn't hold you don't want to be long.
Havent been able to find a short position o NGPS,am looking for a double top this afternoon around 27.90,any other thoughts?
cordially Tom
No good pattern for it yet really.
You want a good short for now; how about OSIP short current price 22.80 with 2% stop over hod to target $12.00 or 47%? That is a very ugly chart and it's just had a daily channel turn down with very nice tweezerish intraday double top this morning. Flat lined at the intraday pivot here at 22.80 and not following the bullish market and hasn't followed biotech's strength lately at all. This thing is just about to fall off a cliff I think. Very nice r/r setup.
If you can't or don't like to short the stock, options plays:
Dec 17.50 puts asking 0.40 or closer to the money Dec 22.50 puts asking 2.05.
If I get time I'll post charts, but this is one of those do it now plays. Pretty good r/r dudes.
If you get a chance can you check out ADSK. Looks like a head and shoulders top, how far could it fall?
Thanks, Tjk
Thoughts on ADSK. If that gap fails it is in trouble. But the weekly looks great - very bullish with turn up and fantastic money flow; bullish zero reject. It sets up for long imho.
heh, still holding what began as a scalp YM from 10299 this morning and I'm taking it home for the weekend dude, full core bull for Monday and this is now a swing Love it when that happens.
