SCOTC consolidated, i.e. adds are averaged out by QT for the total average gain loss per position no matter how many adds there have been.

Summary of eliminations:
BSCI -4%
AGN -4%
GEAC +1.2%
RATE -4%
CHRW -4%
GILD -4%
SYNC -6.5% (was an add)
MCRS -1.82%
CB -1.2%
BER -2%
when those losses averaged out over 20 postions, it's -1.5% average for the port. So subtract 1.5 from that green +0.79% total above. So system port is -0.7% currently. It's hangin' in there.Last edited by spikefader; 11-17-2005, 12:47 PM.

Tom,
Did ya get another chance to short OSIP? I see it's on the Slime of the Swamp list, with lots of momo on the downside at the moment. That triangle pattern I posted the entry for has been resistance, and price falling about 3% from there. Working on another channel turn down on the daily I see. I'm seeing 10.00 as a possible longer term target. You did have a nice r/r yesterday, but even at current levels shorting 24.10, it's still sub 4% risk if you use the same stop area. But 1% risk is 4 times better the entry! doh!

Spike,
Because of the swamp and the slime. But, seriously ,Spike, can you see any difference in the time it takes for a good short to respond to bad news vs. the amount of time for a long to respond to good news . In my limited experience with shorts it seemed a person can hesitate longer after bad news and still make $$ shorting. With longs once you've heard the good news it's too late.

heh, ya, you're right. Bad news seems to have a deeper effect than good news. And stocks that slip big becuz of it tend to be slippery and weak and spike ups get sold into rather than bought. Fact is, on average, stocks fall faster than they rise. So for that reason perhaps it's easier to short. But lots of people fear it. There really isn't ANY difference to me. So you may get a squeeze. How is that different than a plunge like ELN suffered after bad news? It's a risk long or short.Originally posted by billyjoeSpike,
