I like BLTs chart, looks like a return to above 17.50 is "done biscuits"
      Your opinion Runner?

          Thanks Runner,
I took a small posistion in it, mainly on my dad's hunches(he usually does pretty good). We will see what happens and keep a tight lid on it.

Jaws57, best wishes with SYMC. I think long term you'll be fine. I think one of two things may happen. (1) it will base out for awhile or (2) it might spring up and run, but time will tell.

Tom, I’ve seen Spikes write up on BLT and concur. It may be do for a pull back. Having looked into the story. I think BLT will do well into 05. I’m going to wait for a better set-up. I see a channel touch off the highs that may suggest a possible short entry.

I’m keeping my eye on DHB. I would like to see a gap fill and bounce off the 50% line, but this may or may not happen. Any comments on this chart?

APCS- could be a swing trade. Last 3 sessions it has been running pretty tight, notice the inside days.. I also have reason to believe that Friday some smart money was accumulating, based off volume. I wonder if news leaked out? This company will one way or another be impacted by the Nextel merger. I’m currently holding this stock from about a week ago. I have a short-term target of 13.00-13.50.

errr, that's not exactly how I described it

I actually said the wedge was the play and the bias is bullish. You must be thinking of a different stock....

I picked up APCS with a market order and got filled at 12.25. I bought into a nice pop and got caught holding the bag. I bet this has never happened to anybody here on this forum. I clicked the mouse thing and about 10 seconds passed before it executed. I’ll see what happens Monday my target is 13.00-13.50.
lol you would lose that bet. Happened to me early on. I was using datek as my broker, bought with market order on a hugely volatile stock that I can't think of the name of - but anyway, datek delayed for 10 seconds by which time the stock had rocketed up and I got filled at the top to watch it fall back down immediately. Wasn't too ugly but it taught me a lesson about non direct access brokers and was the main reason I went to interactivebrokers.com. I got the bonehead of the day award that day
                      By the way, nice thread.

Phew - and here I was thinkin you may have still been in that yoyo. I remember the pullback to 15 that had you worried and then later a mention you were targeting low 20s or sumfin. Actually moved real nice off that 15! And see that real nice bounce off gap support at 16.40!
                        Anyway, good trade.

I’m attempting to define a scan to find double bottoms. I’ve got much tweaking to do but this is a start. Stocks that are close to a double bottom off daily 6-month chart. Some have already bounced. Most of these stocks appear pretty beat up.

                          AGIL,NDN,ADPT,ADVS,AGU,AAI,ABS,ALGN,AWF,ALVR,AMED, SIL,AFCO,
                          ATHR,GR,BJ,CAMP,CAMD,CYD,VNT,CR,DKS,EAGL,ELN,EEEI, ETH,EXM,HCP,
                          LTON,HBAN,LSCC,MVSN,**MAFB**,MDU,

** indicated one that caught my eye

Spike what does your broker charge for a round trip? I know better then to enter with a market order, especially one that is moving a few million shares and is jumping all over the place.

A penny a share, and that's the retail price. Obviously cheap stocks are going to cost you more, but a great direct access broker and would recommend them. Once you've used direct access, you won't use retail broker like Ameritrade again. Options $1 a side too.
