I saw Buddy rich play in Pensacola back in 1982. I took a tape recorder with me...Sometimes I still listen to that tape.

      I'm still in $$$cash$$$...

The market is in a bipolar mode at this time. I'll stick to day trades only until the situation looks better.

            Palooka

Websman, you big, pointed-eared palooka, you went and laid out of the POTW and got a 5% penalty. What's up with that?

I've been extremely busy with remodleing and lanscaping projects around the house... so I've been a little absent minded.

Plus the market has sucked. I'm still 100% cash, but am considering investing some cash now that Bernake has decided to hold up on rates for a month or so.

I'll get my pick in for next week......I promise....really! jejeje

Still in cash and probably will be for a while longer. It is more logical to sit in cash, risking nothing, than to gamble on a choppy market.

In the meantime, I will keep an eye out for future VTP stock picks.

We're buying a 2004 BMW X3 this weekend for my wife. From what I can tell it seems to be a fairly reliable and highly rated vehicle. Has anyone had any experiences with BMW's? Good or bad... Let me know.

Just picked the X3 up yesterday. It's a great driving vehicle. I'll give it a thumbs up according to the VTP automobile ratings system.

                      Right Up Your Alley

Sounds like a nice vehicle, Webs. Does it look like this one?

Hey, have I got a stock for you! Check out CXW! Right up your alley. (This is not a buy recommendation, because I haven't studied up on the company yet ... but wow! what a healthy chart over the past year!)

Yup...That's the vehicle, except it's white and has a 3.0 instead of the 2.5. The gas mileage has been suprissingly good so far. I'm averaging around 24 mpg. Of course BMW's take premium. You can run em with midgrade if you're cheap.

I'll run CXW through the VTP.

                        Here's a pump and dumper I'm watching.... BCLC.PK
I've received countless junk emails pumping this stock, promising huge profits. It's made a nice little run, but I expect it to crash as soon as the mass emailing is finished and the suckers have bought. This sort of thing should be against the law.

Just bought my wife a 2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5. Found a cherry in excellent condition and the seller under duress with college costs. Sending his son to Marguette. Champaign exterior and beige leather interior with walnut trimmings. 4wd and loaded with everything. Settling up everything this Friday. $15,400 cash. Anyone own one of these or have any experience with them. Big unit. Can't wait to see how it performs on the beach in 4wd.

Sounds like a great deal! Are you sure you didn't knock him in the head and steal it?

The X3 has full time 4wd. I haven't tried it out yet, but will soon...jejeje

No, I made him an offer he couldn't refuse an he was happy to take it. Actually it is a real good deal for us. He needed cash, fast, an I went there with a pockef full of it. He has been trying to sell it for the last 3 weeks and was asking $18,645.00. He had a number of offers but no one had any cash in their pockets to back them up. I was able to beat him down to $15,300.00 by showing him the cash.

The salesperson was shocked when I put a $5,000 down payment down on the X3. I could have paid cash if I wanted.... jejeje
