Nope...not too well. I got out of XMSR at $30.91, which is a .10 loss. I decided to bail about 5 minutes before the close. I must be getting better at this, because I could see that it was definitely going to drop during the last five minutes...and it did.
Oh well, you can't win em all.

Still holding DHB with a small profit. Maybe Monday will send it up a little more. I have to go back to work, so I won't be able to watch it.

Overall, the this week wasn't too bad. I still have my money.

    • Market seems crappy right now. Webs, IMO you're smart to adopt a daily-weekly strategy.

The market is crappy and will be until oil prices come down.
Maybe we should get in the oil business. I wonder if Mr Market's comany has any jobs for Vulcans?

Along with oil prices, I believe the news about the Pope helped bring the market down even more yesterday. I'm with Spike on Monday's action. We should see a good rally, if not a gap up on Monday morning.
I'm going bull for next week, but for next week only, then it all goes back down the crapper.

Good point on XM Spike. Thanks.

I was trying to buy it based on news that they had exceeded subscriber growth...bad move. I tried that once before on another stock and that one failed also. So, I have learned my lesson. News sucks...I need to stick to the old saying. Buy on rumor, sell on news. I'm a stubborn young Vulcan, but I'm slowly learning.

Maybe DHB will work out, since I bought it based on the chart.

News is a tough play IMO...Fun...But it comes and goes REAL quick...requires a constant eye.

IMO...The news on the Pope didn't have any bearing on the market...It may have if it was sudden...but since it was a gradual thing...I don't think there was any influence...IIC

P.S. I subscribe to Sirus and think XM sucks, but who cares! I just want to make a few $$$. I have no loyalty to any company.
                  Webs,

Thanks for the warning. I guess you can't trust no stinkin' Vulcan.

                    Ok...I'm out of DHB.
I took my loss and will move on. Fortunately for me, I never risk too much of my capital on any stock, so the loss is minimal as usual.
I may not have won on this trade, but I'll hit a good one soon enough!

Regardless of whether I was up on DHB or not, I was going to have to sell out and get back in cash for a few days until I get this virus out of my computer. I have a trojan that keeps popping ads up while I'm trying to work. I've ran many scans and nothing is working.

I had "Pc-cillin", but it didn't work on this one, so I've switched to "Stop Sign" antivirus. Stop Sign guarantees to get any virus out and will refund your money. I've been working with their support people and they've been great so far.

Anyways, I have to run a diagnostics scan on my PC and let it sit until tomorrow, in order to give them time to find a solution. This means, I'll be out of action for a day or two.
                    I'll be back...

The website I got the virus from is roughstock com and cowpie com. I have been there many times before to get lyrics and guitar chords for songs. Not anymore....
DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT A VIRUS!!!

See you guys in a day or two.

My computer is still fouled up, so I dug my old Compaq 5050 out of the closet and am running on dial up.
                      Well...The DHB trade...one word...ouch.
That was a very irritating trade to say the least. I dump it for a loss, then it goes straight up!
The bad news was that I took a 5% loss. The good news is that my loss was minimal. Fortunately, I took a small postion. So, I still have lots of cash and last years profits intact!
                      DHB sucks...

I'm holding off from anymore buys until I get my PC going again, which should be by Friday.

Yea dude I was pissed about DHB, it went straight up after it hit my stop. Boohoo!

Yeah, it's a punch in the guts. See why I like tight stops But it's a channel short on the daily today, after an expanding weekly channel, with 5th wave completion as an intraday pattern. I wouldn't be holding it overnight, let's just say that much. I'll be watching it tomorrow for a possible short entry....... it all depends on how it acts.

But crummy luck anyway Webs. Nothing worse that a tagged stop and reversal.

At least we aren't like some of the DHB bagholders who held on from the $20 and lost a pile of cash. I watched a few of them on the IBD boards who were sure it would rebound and they repeated this all the way down. They lost a lot more than 5%.

That was painful to watch, let alone actually be one of them.

Hey, we'll make it up elsewhere.
I was having bad luck this time last year also, but I ended up a winner before the year was over.
So much for DHB...Bring on the next winner!
