I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Register for free and you'll be able to post messages on this forum and also receive emails when $$$ MR. MARKET $$$ makes his own trades. ($$$MR. Guys,
The reason I was opposed to limit orders, for buying and selling, is that I think it would be to hard to make the detemination as to whether or not you got the buy or sell at the precise limit you placed it at.
Never too late for you or anyone else here. Just trying to get everyone in by the time us old cats have to climb into bed and get our beauty rest. And that's a real good point Spike. I guess the latest time would be for those guys out west in the Mountain and Pacific regions. Forgot about the time zones. Us people on the east coast don't think about the rest of the country. After all the markets are in NY. Never a problem. Sorry. Yours an everyone else's are definitely in as long as they are time stamped before the market open. No problemo. Good luck.
I had a long day yesterday and won't get a chance to get all the picks together until after dinner tonight so the daily report won't be posted until after 7/8 pm tonight. Mondays are always a busy one for me getting everyone started after the weekend. Never know what to expect from my guys after the weekend.
Well...I read the rules twice...maybe I should read them again...LOL...I think I'll just stick with BABY all week...It might be different if there was an actual cash prize...Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea...How about 10 grand a week to the winner and a special 100 grand bonus to the one who wins the most weekly contests during the year.
Maybe the Google ads can fund the whole thing
I missed the whole day today...$^%&*( job!!!

Well I know you're all sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for the first days results. Long day for me today. Just finished the tabulations. Spike, did my mom give you that picture of me. I thought she was the only one who had one. Sometimes lately I feel just like that. In alphabetical order:

I did the mathematics under some duress. I'm sure I got all the numbers for entries and closing prices correct but there could be a discrepancy in the percents as I was working fast to get it done. Post your sell orders or stops as you want. If you notice a discrepance in any of your selections or my calculations let me know asap an I'll go back and make the necessary changes.
Guys,
None of these rules are written in stone. It's everyone's contest an if anyone comes up with a viable or better more interesting idea to make it better please do. I tried to make it as simple as could be while giving it a little more diversity at the same time. We can add or change anything you guys want to if the idea holds water an isn't too complicated.
After Monday it looks like Ray Long and myself are atop the leaders board with Ray up .07% on his 3 picks and me up .06% with my 3 picks. We'll see what today brings. Looks like everyone is satisfied with their positions as there were no overnight changes sell orders or stops placed.
Here's todays results. No one is setting the world on fire and with 3 days remaining in the week anyone could forge ahead into the lead as it is relatively close between everyone. Still no stops or sell orders and tomorrow is Wednesday. Lets open it up until tomorrow morning anytime before the open for closing any existing positions an opening any new ones.

And your leader after two days is Ray Long. As Billy Joe says, " a drum roll for Ray please".
Morning Ski,
I don't want to rain on RL's parade, or should I say snare the snare.
But you need to average his returns.
It looks like IIC has the lead to me.

"Trade What Is Happening...Not What You Think Is Gonna Happen"
Guys,
If I made a mistake it was an honest one an made unknowingly. But where is the mistake? Could you please explain your point to me? As soon as possible so that I can rectify and bring the results up to date. Thanks. Ok, I see what you mean. Here's how I was looking at it. Ray is up 3% and 5% on two of his trades and down .1% on the third trade. I see it as being up 7.9 % in the account. If we had equal amounts of money in each trade and the trades were up proportionally then where is the discrepancey. Did you think we should divide his three trades by 3 to get the average?
