Seriously though, I hope you guys took your profit on NGPS before it dropped.

Sure didn't...sure learned my lesson...Never thought it would drop the way it did on a downgrade??

It looks like its @ some support right now and if it doesn't hold I will get out with no profit...which really sucks!

I now know that when a Vulcan shorts a stock I must stay away on the long side.

Actually, that was more embarrassing than just telling me about it right away, LOL!

I have a hard time believing anyone could actually get the shs to short ABRX...it should be down about "Halted" soon...IIC
Speaking of "halted", anyone curious about what will become of CAFE?

I think it will open lower and sell off to full retrace over the next 8 weeks. That's my bet anyway

Portfolio of the week contest .... Wednsday 7/27/05

Dru (the "Lance Armstrong" of the pack) takes gains 3 days in a row and keeps a commanding lead! .... The "evil Vulcan" takes over 2nd with a brilliant short call on NGPS! .... Honorable mention goes to Diogenes who has moved from #10 (last place) to 5th, and now stands in the center of the field. NO contestant is in negative territory! Look carefully at the interim scores and imagine the totals if I HAD NOT set the "you must short sell rule". Where would Big-N, Jiesen and Lyehopper be?

how about that? I have both the best and the worst picks. And if ABRX continues like it has been, I could very well win, even with the worst pick!

Sorry Doug .... I'll correct it tonight. I had just eaten a huge prime rib and lobster tail for dinner (and you can imagine the accessories that accompanied such a fine meal). I could barely keep my eyes open as I figured the results. But a comitment is a comitment by God! It's like an old supervisor would tell me "back in the day" .... Lye! do SOMETHING! .... right or wrong, just DO SOMETHING!

Hey guys, please check your totals and see if I've screwed them up. It's hard to believe that Doug's is the only mistake I've made.

I think that's because Spike just reposted Wednesday's results. Had you going, though, didn't it?

Portfolio of the week contest .... Friday 7/29/05

Big-N steals the show this week as he gained in rank each day. Solid, impressive picks by Big-N! .... Webs consistency procures him 2nd .... Dru drops to 3rd (but this guy knows his stuff).

I'm impressed with several picks entered this week. Great bunch of talent here. Again I extend my apologies for screwing up Thursdays results and being late tonight. I would love to have another chance to run the contest (sometime) but next week looks bad for me. Someone else should be prepared to step in. Tell me if you find mistakes in my final results tonight.
