We are HUGE!!! 100th and counting down!!!

The Mr. Market is HUGE D2OL team, under the inspiring leadership of spikefader, has reached a truly impressive milestone. As of this day, the team ranks 100th in the alltime contributions list. Time for pats on the back, high-fives, cool beer, and the sobering realization that the fight against disease will take a lot more effort, dedication, and: computer time.

The team can't imagine how it feels not to be part of such a positive and inspiring effort. If you want to share our feelings, and our effort, start donating your computer time too. It only takes a computer, a dial-up Internet connection or better, and all your willpower to go here and follow the instructions.

                    Hope to see you soon!

I can't believe it, but the number of completed tasks for last week equals the number of tasks my computers finished last week. Does this really mean that I am the only active member left of the team? I am the proud leader of the pack, with over 12,000 candidates computed (Jiesen is second with about 11,500, Runner 3rd with 10,600 or so), but with the rest of the pack dead, or off the trail, that does not mean very much.

Hey guys, wake up! Donate your spare computer time to a good cause! And that doesn't mean: leave your computer on. There is enough spare time for D2OL to work with when you think you are really maxing your computer out.

New blood welcome too, of course! See also the start of this thread

                      Regards,

                      Karel

Yup, I agree that the feedback from D2OL leaves a lot to be desired. Not that we aren't doing useful stuff, but they just seem to take everything for granted. Perhaps the people at Folding@Home are more aware of that. Why not visit http://folding.stanford.edu and see if you can find some motivation there? If you move, I'll follow.

                            regards,

Okay...... last night I came home from work.. drank a beer and fell asleep way too early. I remembered todday about it.. home for lunch and now downloading the program. I will be up and running tonight. I leave My pc on all the time (to cheap to pay for the daily connection on 2nd line) So I may be able to catch up. I hate to present too blonde but still dont have a clue what this is all about other then research. I just dont see how a program running will help but doing it. DOnt let it be said that I am getting all the usefull information from Mr Markets site and not doing my part.... maybe one day I will understand what I am doing. hehehe

Blessed day all. back to work
