I was thinking that an interesting idea would be for whoever would go along with this proposal to post their current short term or long term positions and their entry points in each position. Just to give a glimpse of what everyone is doing or holding. Just the stocks that you are currently holding in your trading portfolio. Don't include those in your forever term retirement acct. unless you want them included in the discussion.

Since I re-read your message about long term plays I've had to reconsider... anyway, drop TGE and TIII from my list because it looks like they will be LT for me.


Today, I decided to sell short SIM, and I did so at $18.31. I have also decided to take the big loss on SNTS, so I sold that piggy too. (I needed the funds to short SIM)

Sold TWGP @30.52 for a 13.88% loss. Had stop at 33.00 which wasn't filled because of pre-market earnings report. Found out I had to cancel stop before selling TWGP. When I placed order it would say "you don't have those shares in your account although they showed on the screen. Soon as I cancelled stop I could sell.

-----AES reported , apparently 1 time charge of 500mil. isn't figured into earnings so they beat est. .34 to .21 and are up 2.20%. Earnings are in on all remaining positions and are looking good. Here's how they stand:

AES +2.39%
MO +2.60
GOOG +11.46
SAI +14.14

Might start looking for something to buy in IIC 100 , Peanuts list, or Robs list, better yet my own unpublished list.

Thanks Ski.... Here are some positions I hold for short(er) term trading. Bought more CYBE today (near the low), Shorted more X today above $68....

CYBE (long) $11.82
VECO (long) $18.45
ALLI (long) $4.20

SHOO (short) $41.00
X (short) $68.00

As a side note; I lost money on ALLI and CYBE after earnings.... But the above are new positions. ALLI is sort of a dangerous play and I've only got a few thousand shares.... CYBE has $5+ per share in ca$h and is a very well managed and conservative company and their business is growing fast.... I have traded X short several times lately as well as some other "Basic Steel" stocks. VECO is a new position for me, I have been stalking it for a 61.8% retracement and just recently started buying, I like the sector and I like VECO. I think five stocks here is enough for you to track, plus I didn't want to post any real stinkers.lol. Thanks for all your hard work Ski!

CYBE, not to be confused with a couple of IBD past and or current favorites CYBS and CYB. Why is CYBE lagging so far behind in price compared to it's peers ? It seems to be superior to them in revenue , earnings growth , and lack of debt. Doesn't make sense.

FWIW...I don't know much about CYBE but I noticed that next quarter's eps projections are not good and they have been revised downward a couple of times. Also, my info is not current, but the number of funds owning it has been on the decrease for almost 2 years...Doug(IIC)

I made a mistake on deleting some of the closed positions in a couple of the portfolios. So if you see that a couple of positions that you exited are still up there I'll delete them tonight. Those ports would specifically be Whiz, Runner, and Webs ports. Just didn't have time this morning to make the changes after I realized the mistake. Sorry.
