anyway, spent 3 hrs. at the philadelphia museum of art this afternoon and viewed a number of painting, drawings, and etching by Picasso and several other painters, of prominence, that i didnt know about. two guys in particular were George Braque and John Gries. not sure if i got the spelling right on the second guys last name which wasn't his real name anyway. it was a long spanish name. along with them they had at least two dozen other artists who were prominent during that cubist period. and that period was broken into several other areas of cubism which i dont remember the names. Picasso got the most attention and notoriety but in my opinion he wasnt the best of the group. I liked Braque and Gries work moreso than picassos. we only pass thru life once and i like the idea of taking in as much as i can of the great masters of art, music, etc. that i can. I've viewed exhibits of a number of the greats. I can't say that Picasso and the people of this period and style are to my liking but there were several painting that i liked alot and probably more that didn't impress me. they had their own community in paris and i think they were somewhat elitist along with some prominent writers of that period. anyone living in or near the phila./nyc area have a great opportunity to witness their work at either the phila. museum or the nyc museum. going to see Renoir - the later years in june 2010 and Michaelangelo in sept 2010. if you ever get the chance to go to the phila. museum of art you should make avail of it. you could easily spend a week there looking at all kinds of exhibits from paintings to armor to statues from every civilization across the board of time.THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR

The Gold Dollars
While sitting in a Starbucks with a friend some guy comes over and gives my friend and I each a Gold Toned Dollar coin ....I first thought to myself WTF does this character want ? What was his hussle? As it turns out , he explained that he just hands out these coins to complete strangers and watches their expressions . He explained that by giving money out , he will eventually get more money back in return, and in the process he is having fun doing it.
Strange dude , but I do beleive that if you give out mony and help people it will definitely come back to you in many ways !

Since your talking about the needy, I thought I would add this little video link which shows the growth of the US unemployment rate throughout the country from 2007 to today in a 31 second long clip. The lines at the soup kitchens could get longer, sooner. It's tough to say when it turn around for America, but I'm not seeing many signs of it around here.
The data is divided by counties. You've got to watch this:
Hide not your talents.
They for use were made.
What's a sundial in the shade?

My Medical Bill
What a mostrosity that Harry Reid Nancy Pelosi bill is. .....throw the whole 2,000 plus page bill into the Shi*can, and follow Pete's SIMPLE 4 point plan!
1. Initiate TORT Reform why should neurosurgeons pay a $200,000 insurance bill? .......LIMIT The lawyers abilty to sue by placing a $250,000 cap on lawsuits.
2. Insurance across state lines......let the buyer have the choice to buy insurance from any state.
3. Have outside auditors and efficiency experts examine and root out all corruption and waste from Medicare , Medicaid , Social Security and all other government proograms.
4. Pass a small tax on ALL FATTY foods KFC, Cinnabuns , with all proceeds going into a medical fund to help US CITIZENS with medical care. Those people who eat KFC, and food from other fatty food companies will simply pay a few pennies extra on that bucket of chicken ....and in essence when those people come down with high blood pressure , stroke, obesity and high cholesterol they will be paying for their own health insurance . Michelle Obama has just initiated a big anti obesity campaign. Just as TOBACCO has been demonized and banged with huge fines so should these fatty food companies. How about a sign on each bucket of chicken ..."Consumption Of This Food Will result In Obesity and Other Health Hazzards"
There ya have it a short bill that would solve the Medical care problem!

Originally posted by Belaruski View Postif you short it river, much to my concern, i hope it does go up another 10%or more. i think it's a bad move especially when there are hundreds, maybe thousands of other setups that you could play. not because i own it or you did but why would you think it is a viable shorting candidate? you would have to explain that one to me. i'm looking at the daily, which i don't trade off of but it is extended, but the weekly isn't showing signs of being extended and the RSI isn't signalling oversold and it's line is still under the 70 line. and if you did short it what would be your target. what do you think it would pullback to? to me the momentum is still strong to the upside. i cannot even wish you good luck with this play. sorry.
Hmmm... maybe I wasn't wrong, maybe just early.
