AmTrust Bankruptcy

Many years ago, I had an account at Ohio Savings Bank, now AmTrust, now NYB. Maybe NYB didn't realize what they were getting in to (not!). Still have some NYB in my IRA @ 15.88.

i think it's a great buy right here river. take a look at those calls i mentioned if not the calls the stock is still real cheap at $15.39.

On top of earning dividend on your NJR, you may as well sell some out of money option calls to earn more $$ since you're holding the stock anyway. I'm thinking about buy some good dividend stocks in the IRA and selling those options calls to make the holding even sweeter.

i've been buying it since around 1978 and haven't taken a nickel out of it. just been adding to it on the splits and turning the divy's back into the stock thru their DRIP program. no commissions and it's done automatically.

I bought July 10/$16 calls for $6.50 and i think towards the end of the day i could have got the buggers cheaper, hope they pop n stay up tomorrow. PCLN did well to say there was a lot of stocks down.

excellent micro. I thought they were going to go off this morning. the way they started out looked good but the market got screwed up as the day progressed. you do mean the july 10/$16 calls for $.65 and not $6.50 right. everywhere i look they are either upgrading the stock or speaking highly of it. I think those options will turn out ok but i would like to see them make a move here soon.

Yes meant $.65, bought 100 contracts a few months ago when they were first mentioned they were up and down like a brides nightie so i got out when they were just shy of $18 and took 8k profit, they still are up on a pretty crappy day so with a bit of luck they should move up again from here.

beautiful micro. i would love to see them move up. the stock is fundamentally very strong so I think that will be the deciding factor.

Was going to be out of town today so I put in a buy limit order on NYB for 14.99 figuring it would be real easy to figure the div. at that price. I got it ! 14.99, low of day at 10:52. A genius today, tomorrow a moron, but I'm feeling good right now.

thats funny billy. i was just looking at the screens and saw that $14.99 was the LOD and was surprised that it was that low today. i was out all day today.
