Long time no see Ski, glad to hear from you again. I've been looking at HOV since it was at 2.8 but never pull the trigger. It's great knowing that you're picking up HOV which gives me a bit more confidence.

Nice to talk to you again Wooish. I love HOV and at these current prices are somewhat of a steal. They are a major player and I cannot believe that the price is under $1.50 a share. Worth taking a serious look at in my estimation. 1000 shares for around $1500 and just sit on it until things turn.

gotta love KO. Last time I bought shares was around 49.13. looking for split of some nature and then another purchase. Love the Divys in the DRIP acct. My shares haven't seen the light of day in a long time. Like mushrooms down there in the dark vault, just steadily growing.

Good to see you again, Ed. You've always got provocative brain eruptions. I look forward to seeing more of them.

Thank you Karel. Glad to see that you are still here. It's apparent that things have slowed down considerably here regarding the number of posts and posters. I think that is a sign of a bad market environment and people either losing money or out of money. Bad markets like the present and trying to press the issue during those times usually generate losses for short term traders. On the other hand I see several opportunities to buy low and eventually sell high on a number of great stocks. I hope that the pace will pick up now that the word is out that I am posting again. LOL!! Good to hear from you Karel.

                    Peanuts,
Nice to hear from you bud. I hope you are doing well in this mess we are all in. First of all I would like to say that most of the hard working, tax paying, business minded citizens in our country are not responsible for this situation we are in. Our legislative leaders have put us where we are and there are thousands of reasons, to numberous to go into individually here, for it.
I agree wholeheartedly with everything that Mr. Schiff stated. His reasoning is completely right and the consequences of what he is talking about is not that far from becoming a reality. This administration is not the sole cause of why we are where we are at but they have done nothing positive or substantial in attempting to change our course or fix it, they've been a major cause of the increase in our debt and our eventual economic collaspe, and our legislatures are living in some sort of dream world to think that we can continue on like Mr. Schiff has stated by spending to create jobs which are at best a bandaid and temporary fix to the real problem. More of a political bandaid to help in their re-election effort moreso than a true attempt at doing what is best.
I truly believe that we are at the edge of the cliff economically and that it is almost inevitable that we will fall over it and into a severe economic collaspe. Our legislatures, both democrat and republican, are more inclined to act and vote on measures that will help them keep their cushy jobs than do what is needed to turn this situation around in a logical and practical way.
But the situation is almost past the point of anything that anyone can do whether it is a rational process or not that they try to implement. The entire world economic system of the developed nations are in the same boat where their debt is higher than their productivity and their borrowing needs are higher than their cash inflow from taxes and other sources. Like Mr. Schiff stated, " gold and silver and almost every other necessary commodity are at higher levels now than ever", and it is because the paper money we are printing is worth nothing and we are living and financing ourselves on debt and borrowing. We are not creating anything real or doing anything real about it.
I truly beleive that we will have a severe economic collaspe across the board internationally and that with that will come a high degree of chaos and anarchy which will be devestating to everyone and everything throughout the world.
Am I a lunatic for believing this scenario will take place and come to fruition? This is what I believe will come to be and not to far into the future. I agree with every word that Mr. Schiff stated and have been preparing for the worse case scenario for the last couple of years.

well at least you have a job and are working and bringing in a paycheck. I have nil under contract. 2 yrs. ago I had 38 million undercontract in project management and the phone was kind of ringing for private contract work in the renovation, addition, and new homes part of the business. Real Estate at least was generating some action and today it is worse than pulling teeth here in NJ. My reserves are way down and I continue to draw from that pile as we continue to attempt to live somewhere near the lifestyle we are used to but have cut way back on anything extra or extravagant like dining out occassionally. Things are terrible across the board here in NJ and business is in the crapper.
I've been trading, alot less than I am accustomed to, but am quite disillusioned with the markets of late. I think they are being manipulated much moreso than in the past and have become a sucker bet for the short term traders like myself. My long term holdings continue to do well but I am not drawing off of them to live.

                              What just happened???

I'm a little nervous about my job too. My biggest client has decided to withdraw all their business from the law firm I've been contracted to specifically for their business. My contact lawyer at the firm has been walked and is going into private practice but will be hurting for a while and needs my client's business to stay afloat. I can't afford for him to take over my project and will not let him. I am still an independent contractor and the client still seems very happy with my work. A meeting with the client and that lawyer is on Wednesday. Wish me luck please.

Ski, talked to a real estate friend on Sat. and she said the business is on fire here. The only lending problem is when potential buyers have too much other debt. But she had a great year last year and is doing just as well this year.

Is that a definite on your patent business River? You weren't able to work out an alternate plan with all the parties.?
