    just my observation, but:

if he's only interested in a quick trade he probably did ok. If he's still short he's gonna cover tomorrow at a loss most likely.

        Nice one ski!

Here is the ACOR short setup I posted today for around the same time as you. R/R was 31! Perfect entry that sits +4%. Good luck with it!

Well, 'nuff said!.... I'll short TIN tomorrow.... Chart is showing a nice SHS pattern and they report earnings next week, I say they miss. My target short is $29.... Thanks Billy!

Thanks Spike. I thought I saw something developing there around lunch on the intraday and the risk was nominal with what I thought I could get out of it. There was alot of guys in under that 17.91 high of the day that were bailing on that drop from the 17.91 level. Just at the right spot at the right time. I actually bought it on the first leg down after the HOD and had set a mental stop at 18 for the exit if it didn't make the move. When it turned back up I thought that I was going to lose it but that turned out to be a false move and it fell farther. Just a great r/r at that moment.
Another thing was that you hit was that call on FMD the other day right on the money. Turned out to be a big up day for it. I cannot believe the upward momentum this stock has been showing. I'm waiting for that to stall out and turn down.

Ski, I was trying to get in early on the Q's. I was thinking it is getting into resistance and was due for a drop. My 1R is 2.20. this in reality is where I placed a stop. So this stop as of yesterday was 44.67. I'm looking for at least 2.20 to the good side. Now whether or not I get it is another thing. That is ok as my position is constructed properly. Now today looked pretty good an so I've adjusted the risk down some and currently stop is at 43.10. My thought process was I thought it might fall off the top. Now If I'm wrong I'll just move on. I just thought the downside looked better then the upside. Now should it pop those old highs then I'm wrong on this play. Should it continue in my direction I will continue to lower the risk. If it hits my 1R I will begin profit retrace stop.

Trying to get bear in a bull market can bite pretty good and I have no idea where we go from here but my plan is in place.

                    Runner,
I think you got a nice play going. Nice stop and could easily drop more from here especially if the market in general tanks tomorrow which I think is a reasonable assumption with the DOW as we are at pretty high levels and could use a small correction.

                    • Ski thanks for the chart. Hey once in we don't know what is going to happen. I'm trying to improve my exits through my stops. I'm trying to be more passive in my decision's instead of reactive. More times then not my reactive decisions have been wrong. It has taken me a good while to figure this out.

I held through it. I thought that it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it may have looked. Alot of profit is being delayed with the Army Corp. of Engineers delaying shipments of waste and then last year had a big windfall profit on settlement of a suit to help it along. They didn't have that this year but read between the lines and you see the waste tonnage increasing dramatically this coming qtr. if the Army Corps of Eng. starts back up shipping their waste. Nothing dramatic in the AH so it looks like it isn't going to take a hit tonight. See what tomorrow brings.

I read the report and my limited FA reading thought it also was not that bad. I also like how it did not drop in AH. Best with ECOL. Now that earnings are upon us things always get interesting. Some of the DOW stocks better not disappoint!!

There were a fews changes in the ports today. I shorted ACOR at 17.70. Runner bought more of WMT at 47.90. We are going to treat additions to existing positions as new positions if the prices are different in the two buys. Runner also bought ELN at 15.55. Gator also bought ELN today at 15.66. This is turning out to be interesting tracking these ports. Anyone else care to put theirs up for view please do. I'll be happy to keep track of them. Here's the sheet with todays changes:

The higher guidance is certainly a plus. Tomorrow's conference call might reveal more but I think the stock price could react positively.

What looked to be a worsening day in the am turned into not to bad a day by the close. I really like all of the stocks on this weeks list. I was thinking of taking ACOR long this morning after I saw that tidbit about it on Briefing.com's newswire. It was up .60 in the pre-market and opened right at the previous days closing price. I always wait until 10 am to do anything just to make sure whatever is happening will hold. I missed the trigger on ACOR and then caught the short setup right after lunch. The short turned out to be almost as good as the long play. If I had violated my rule about not doing anything before 10 I could have caught it at the open right at 16.35 level and rode it to 17.91 HOD and then shorted it on the reversal. People do this everyday with these particular situations when a stock reacts to news like this and runs up only to fall victim to the momo guys taking their gains. I shorted ACOR at 17.70 and am holding.
I was saying how much I like this weeks list and there are several stocks that I am now stalking closely for entry tomorrow if they present themselves the way I'm looking for.

ACLS: still holding. This stock has been in a decent runup and needed some consolidation. I'm down .09 and holding. Watch for a little more downside here tomorrow.
DFC: I think it is getting ready and I'm stalking for an entry tomorrow above 10.00 if it can hold that level.
ECOL: I love this play and still holding. It displayed remarkable strength today in that it came back from the LOD at 21.08 to close at 21.86. That is a .78 move off the low. Still up pretty good in the position.
FMD: Still waiting for that short play. It is coming.
HTGC: I think this stock is in a good spot to look for an entry soon. Been overbought recently and needed consolidation which it got and is still getting. Notice how average lines act as support and resistance. In this case it stopped right on support at the 20 ema and ma. Very strong support lines. Watch for a turn up soon.
ICON: Take a look at the daily. This could easily pullback to the 18 level right at it's previous high. The 17 level is below that at the 20 ema and ma. There's those two averages again. At 17 I would have to consider being a buyer.
KLIC: This stock exhibited some show of strength today with coming back from the LOD at 9.24 to close at 9.50 off -.04. I had to be happy with that an am still holding.
LIOX: Not much movement here today but it is tightening up between the bolinger bands and riding right on it's 20 ema and ma. When they tighten up like this something is in the wind with a move either up or down. I see no reason for it to fall and am still holding and like it to the upside with a breakout in the wind.
MED: I can't complain about this stock. My entry was way off because I missed the initial move from 8.55 and should have had it then but would not chase. But it doesn't owe me a thing and I think the fundamentals of this stock will carry it much farther up from here. Still holding while it makes the right side of it's cup.
SMSI: I like this stock alot and think that it is getting ready to go off here soon. I would like to see a little more consolidation perhaps to the 16.25/16.50 range on lower volume. 16 even would be a gift in my opinion for an entry. I'm waiting for a little pullback and an entry at those levels.
TRAD: This chart is getting alittle to choppy for my taste. I'm taking it off the list as I can't see a play in the works so no reason for having it on the list. I'll be removing it tonight. Here's tonight's spreadsheet:
