Forget the charts on this one right now. The downgrade by some lesser known financial firm, who is Unterberg (don't know if I spelled it right) anyway, propelled the anxious and skittzy out of their positions an opened a door of opportunity for the rest of us to get in at a much lower price. Be EXTREMELY patient and watch for a bottom. If you watch the markets during the day keep it on your list and get in on the big bounce once the momo guys and institutions start flooding back into the stock. This stock will definitely make it back to the 36 area and more. Be nimble and be quick. Once you see the move beginning don't procrastinate. Make your move. This is going to be a great opportunity.

Thanks. I was hoping some others would be watching for this one this morning.
Not for anything but this one was standing right in front of us and staring right into our eyes. Nothing is a sure thing but opportunities like these don't present themselves everyday. Not to say it couldn't have gone the other way but it came right out of the gate at the open and held the gain until the end of the day when the momo and daytraders took their money out.
I have to calculate all the Portfolio of the week numbers but later I want to post my rationale on what was going on in my mind with this stock and why I thought it would recoup like it did today. By the way I wouldn't touch it tomorrow.
One other thought. Did you see the intraday swing on HTRN today? Opened at 12.75 and a low of 12.24. Came back to close at 12.69 and was up to 12.78 in the afterhours. I was hoping you were watching it today. Great opportunity for daytrading. It's been doing this for a few weeks. Showing decent strength to recoup like this almost everyday for the last couple of weeks.

I'm still holding HTRN from 12.75. I actually like the way it has come back everyday after trading down like it has. To me that's indicative of someone liking and buying the stock. That's a show of strength to me. Only my opinion but the proof is in the action. If you get a chance take a look at the weekly chart and check out the step formation after the handle on the right side. Subtle but definitely trending up. Some take longer than others, but my feelings haven't changed on this stock.

Comtech Third-Quarter Profit Rises 75 Percent to Beat Wall Street Estimates MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Communications equipment maker Comtech Telecommunications Corp. said Wednesday that its third-quarter profit rose 75 percent, soundly beating Wall Street estimates, on strong sales across all three of its business segments.

The company said its quarterly income grew to $8.4 million, or 39 cents per share, from $4.8 million, or 22 cents per share, a year ago. Revenue rose 47 percent to $75.4 million from $51.2 million last year on growth in the company's telecom transmission, mobile data communications and RF microwave amplifier segments.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial expected earnings per share of 24 cents on revenue of $66.7 million.

"All but a small portion of our growth has been organic -- driven by our significant investments in technology and research and development which have translated into well-entrenched leadership positions in high growth markets and participation in high growth programs," said Fred Kornberg, Comtech president and chief executive, in a statement.

Research and development spending for the quarter rose 33 percent to $5.3 million from last year.
