<< Wow, Dave. Don't you get enough gambling right here in the market? >>

But pretty girls don't bring me glasses of free pineapple juice at my trading desk. LOL!

<< I hope it fills your pockets. >>

Thanks. I've got 1,000 shares riding on this one; I hope so too!

      Dave,

That's a nice tidy amount of money. Did you just acquire those shares this past Friday or have you been in for awhile. If not this Friday then you are either down in the position or have you been holding it from under $399. If you were in under $399 and rode it to $475 range and gave all that back, ouch. Just curious. Anyway I'm going to buy some March $420 calls Monday I think. I'm thinking it will spike up abit from here.

Ski, I picked up the shares Friday afternoon when GOOG bounced off its 20-week EMA. My time-based stop is 4 points below entry, assuming it's down that far (or more) after the first 1/2 hour of trading.

          Dave,
I really like the chances of a nice bounce right off the bat on Monday. I very seldom make any entries or exits, unless I get stopped out at the open from a previously placed stop like ELN last Friday, until after the 1st half hour of trading so if it really goes off Monday morning I'll probably miss it unless the options lag behind alittle. Hope it goes right up for you from the start.

I'm still being greedy and holding. I'll likely dump it tomorrow morning. I will look to re-enter after earnings. Many of the high PE teschs have taken big dumps after earnings.

                    Dave,
Can't believe that you exited that position as early as you did. It went off exactly as I thought it would. Only problem was that I wanted it at $399/400 an it was up over $6 by the open. You missed an extra 18 points.

Had no choice. I wasn't going to be here between 9:45 and 10:30 and I didn't want to hold it w/o being able to watch it and exit if necessary. I made money on it and that's what counts; now I'm "alive" to play it another day.

                          Ernie,
Are the Titans still holding those call options. I wanted to enter this morning at around $400 but it was around $408 by the open an I didn't want to chase. I'm sorry I didn't because it did exactly what I thought it was going to do but I have my rules an that's that. There was an upgrade to buy early this mornig that I saw on Briefing.com an it went off in the pre-market early. I knew then that I wasn't going to get in on it. I can't believe Dave sold as early as he did. But it's his money.

Would you be saying that had it closed at 370? When you can't watch a volatile position, you're foolhardy not to take profit when you can.

I'm also not completely convinced that GOOG is out of the woods, either. Today's move came on much lower volume than Friday's down day and only retraced 38.2% of the decline since the 1/11 - 1/12 peak. Tomorrow will be a better tell as to what happens from here.

                                Dave,
No problemo at all. I would have set it up differently but that's what makes a horserace. Actually I should keep my mouth shut. I don't even own it and you did and made a decent gain on it so that's all that counts. Any gain is better than no gain or a loss and there is always tomorrow. Good luck.
