    Karel.... still can't view

Hey Karel.... Look at post 286 for an example. The image is about 1.5 inches wide and I can't change it. Does any one else view it this small?

I can view Ski and Spikes images with no problem.

    • Not sure I understand how do resize the charts. I guess I’ll just use links and then this will not distort the appearance of the forum.

        Is this the right link?

Edit: No, for a 780 px wide image it wasn't What was wrong with your original link, was that the first bracket of the [ url = ... ] part was missing. And I think the capitalized version ( [ URL = ... ] ) is preferred for our forum software. Imageshack provides both. — Karel

Lye, those thumbnails are there becuz Runner pasted the wrong link in there. Well, not the wrong one, but not the preferred one. We should all try to paste this one:

That way, we all see the same thing. I don't like those thumbnail charts. I'd rather see it in the thread. It's less work.

Runner, I just posted instructions using the irfanview program. It's easy dude. Just control+r and it opens the box and you click 640x480 and you're done.

Ya, it's a free program you can get from http://www.irfanview.com/
Go there and click download and you'll be directed to some links you can get it from. I've used it for years, and it's great. No spyware, not a resource hog, and very cool program. Lots of plugins and options for images.

Thanx Spike. I'll check it out. What is this thing you call a plugin?

                      • Thanks for the link spike. Top 2 charts are from Irfanview. I followed your instructions for the size.

                          Spike,
I downloaded the program but am not sure how to use it. It takes me awhile to catch on with this stuff. Do I first have to capture an image with a program like snagit and then upload it to irfanview to paste it here. Or do I capture it with irfanview and then just paste it here? Sorry to be a burden an appreciate the help and the lead on the site.

Ski, capture first with your snagit or handysnap and then open irfanview and find the file. Then I followed spikes instructions on the resizing thing!

Thanks you guys. I was always wondering how Spike made the charts such a nice size. To paraphrase, but not to date myself, a 60's axiom, real groovy site that irfanview. Took me a few times to get it. Didn't realize that I had to resave it after the resizing and then use imageshack to get it here.
