To sour of a prediction for you. We might all have to take a second job at Wal-Mart on the third shift with the mops and brooms. I hear if you do that they give you an outlet an a Comcast high speed broadband connection along with the $5.25 an hour but you have to do any computer work on your lunch hour or half-hour an in a 3' x 4' closet they have just for that. You have to share the closet with 6 other people.

But I've got a disk for 1000 free hours with AOL. We could get 3rd shift jobs in the computer sales dept. and use Mr.Market as the demo site on all screens.

I don't think this Christmas season will be very good for retailers. Christmas represents 50% of the retailer's business. Consumer spending is 2/3 of our economy. But the consumer is being hit by all you said above, and in addition, the new bankruptcy law has gone into effect. Starting in Nov, the credit card minimum payments will be double what they were previously. That is going to sting consumers and the economy, too.

I lock in my line of credit at 5.25 good move.... I will get that 500 paid off before jan. I have three more yrs with house.

I am hoping to cash in alot of my GE stock after first of yrs and hope to learn alot from this site. Reading up on how to short stocks....Maybe ge able to go out sailiing for a few more yrs if do well next yr.

Let's compare what Runner's Chart says vs. yours and mine. My chart says that the trend has already been broken, retested and failed. (See the annotations). The bigger question: how to trade what we have. The last two charts will give you some good food for thought. If we trade support and resistance, you might get a temporary bounce here. BUT remember this: the SOX is trading below the 10, 20, 50, 200 day moving averages. Add to it that Friday it pierced the 420 support line and recovered at the close, and you have to say that the support is not very strong.
