What happened was that one guy, before the open, wanted to dump several thousand shares. Rather that shock the price and start a free fall, they waited until they had enough buy orders to cover it.

yep. I was worried I'd have to cough up 22.5 or so to get it, but seeing my order fill for 21.85 sure made my day! No doubt at all that this will see 15% right quick.

This time, though, I have to thank $$MM not just for picking CIB, but for showing me how to actually pick this one myself, then confirming what I thought by picking it. That gives me more warm fuzzies than anything!

Going from the chart linked below, anyone think the next big buy(interest in) will be tomorrow?

Other than I hate those big gaps up before considering an entry I like this one over all of his last 3 or 4 picks. I can see myself buying this stock. Remember that about 50 % of a stocks movement is attributable to the strength of their sector/group and the market so today was a bad day at OK Corral but this one kind of showed it's strength through it all.

I'm curious as to how much of a percent gain can be attributed to a Mr. Market notification of purchase. It has to account for some of the gain doesn't it?

I was fortunate enough to spot the pick and had enough time to check it out before the close of the market yesterday. Looks like a solid one and you have to like the instant gratification.

I think it accounts for approximately 0.000000000000000000000000000000000001% of a change but it surely does, especially when people buy on his recommendation.

                      CIB down big....on earnings?

Looks like it released some numbers earlier today and went down as low as 21.05 - I got some at 21.10

lets see what this is all about...

Please don't pull an OFG on us, CIB! I don't own any but I wouldn't want that to happen to any one.

CIB - todays press release - what's the difference?

It turns out that earlier today (Friday at at 9:42am EST) there was an additional news release

At Yahoo Finance, you get free stock quotes, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, social interaction and mortgage rates that help you manage your financial life.

My question is this: What are these "Unconsolidated" earnings have to do with August 8 "Consolidated" earnings?

At Yahoo Finance, you get free stock quotes, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, social interaction and mortgage rates that help you manage your financial life.

Anyhow, I am happy that I jumped it at the near lows for today. Incredibly, I got a better deal then even Mr. Market!

This is, in my opinion, an example of a stock that got absolutely hammered for no good reason.

Search the forums for OFG. And look at the price history over the last year or so.
                              Happy investing,
                              Dave

My opinion is worth no more than the price you paid for me to give it.

                                Good Morning Ernie

CIB should meet your target sell # sometime this week--
I bought it in the hi teens & now it is at 40% profit- I decided to use your numerical sell target & then move on. I do have a stop/loss in place.
                                Good Luck-
