the bog was stricken with pneumonia.

What saved his life this time? Penicillin.

Clever and lazy is better than industrious and stupid. I've known some very wealthy industrious but stupid people and even more poor clever and lazy people. The clever and lazy are usually very entertaining. The German general in your link believed that the industrious but stupid were dangerous to the military but the clever and lazy made fine officers. The stupid will get a person killed quicker in my opinion.
