Its been reported that our most famous prodigal son, William H. Gates III, will return on June 7 to give the featured Commencement address. Gates of course dropped out of Harvard College in 1975 with pal Paul Allen to form a software firm and did OK, so they say, so now they're having him back. Gates is not the first to succeed without graduating as for example Edward Moore Kennedy who has risen to become the second most senior US Senator after getting his butt kicked out circa 1963 for supposedly cheating on a Spanish test.

Nuther one I have which reports tomorrow AM is ROST. Bought it on what looked like a pullback (its in my Mar 6 list) though its done little since except today. Analyst's estimates and the firm's published guidance are surprisingly equivalent. Value Line is predicting double digit increases in financials out several years. Company says 7% increase in sales this time. Maybe they're being conservative.

Up 3% on a down day so somebody liked it even though the report was in line.

Yeh. For a high tech its got pretty solid financials, cash flow, return on equity, reasonable pe. They just bought something or other.

Sold LRW. Took another look at the Value Line numbers and didn't like the financial performance so well (return on equity, etc.). It was up today because of positive comments from Toll Brothers about housing (LRW rents out labor) so it seemed like a good opportunity to head for the hills.

I know Labor Ready...they are one of the places I sent to Cosmo to go get a job...As I recall I even posted the phone #'s and addresses of offices near him.

I took a very quick look at those tix...IMO...you are playing w/ fire...Some look like they may have bottomed technically...And if the market reverses up you might make out...But IMO the market is toast. I feel bad for those...not necessarily talking about you here...that listen to those jokers on the radio talking about all the bargains...Didn't I hear them last week?

On 2-19 at 10:05PM I posted "I've also got buy orders in for USB, USG, UNH and MTB" and didn't get any replies. That's not a surprise because in many forums noone cares about stuff like that so there was nothing else I could say about them. Since then I've bot ROST, COP, JNJ, ORCL, LRW on pullbacks. Wish I had bought more of ORCL since they announced an acquisition the very next day. Still want more back toward 16. As I've mentioned I missed the August rally and haven't been able to find my way in until the recent pullback days so I haven't said much because I've had little to say. Put a little money in bonds about a week ago and that has worked out for a small gain but again noone's interested in stuff like that. Wanted to take a crack at PKX yesterday but figured the softness would continue after yesterday's close. Today its up 5%.

I looked at the charts of the tix you had posted that day but I didn't really have a whole to say either way on them...I'll look at the others...I do follow ORCL somewhat as I do all the Naz 100 Heavyweights...at least as a group

I only posted about HSOA on your thread because Ski isn't around anymore...I actually (I'm serious) felt a little bad for you when you mentioned those Jan Calls you had...I really was hoping that it might make a "Temporary" run for 'ya.

But Ski thot I was talking outta my ____ because I wouldn't tell him the details about this outfit...He thot I didn't like it because of StockLemon...Not true although they reinforced what I already believed.

But I'm not right yet...I said that there would be some scandelous news...I have no proof so I refrain...But, IMO...it will come out and this company will end up in the ARCHIVES along with the first stock I ever bot on my own in Jr. Hi back in the late 60's...United Australian Oil...Dang, I was up over 200% and all I have now is a pretty stock certificate in a box in my parent's attic.

Well the HSOA calls didn't work but thats going to happen. I made a few bucks on some VLO March 57.5s kind of by accident so things sometimes even out.
