So, uh, what's on your mind?

It's always easier if there is an identifiable trend in either direction, but there are stocks that will make good setups at times when there isn't a clearly defined trend. Finding them is the hard part and managing the trade is even harder. Lots of good ideas on playable stocks to be found everyday here. I can appreciate staying safely in cash. Have you been trading any ETF's? I like them when the markets get like this. Easier to identify an play a sector at times like this.

I have traded ETFs in the past but have stayed away from them lately. Can't say why really. There are indeed good stocks to be found but the problem is putting enough money to work. When I'm fairly fully invested I usually have 20+ stocks. Anyway I'm comfortable right now where I am.

Not much other than what I posted in #27 on this thread about being mostly in cash for the duration then I'll move to Poormans stuff plus covered calls on the Little Book That Beats.... stocks.

What y'all don't know is this: Lyehopper is referring to something I said when we went with our wives (and li'l Lyehopper) to dinner a week or so ago. I guess we must have been talking about standing in checkout lines at grocery stores or something. I told Lye and Mrs. Lye my philosophy about grocery store lines: if all the lines look like about equal wait-time, then I pick the one with the prettiest checker, because I figure as long as I have to stand there anyway, I'd much rather have a pretty checkout girl to deal with.
