No, we're talking about the same guy. Billy just misspelled the name.

Are you sure Billy was not talking about Able Johnson, cousin of Ready Johnson.
Able was a defensive back but lacked the speed to be really good cover corner.I believe he played for the Detroit Lions in 1956 or 1957.
Cain, of course, never had what it takes for the NFL although he did play a bit for the fledging Norfolk Tritons. I think he went into the advertising business and came up with idea of selling an inflatable doll in the image of Tina Turner.

I don't know. I'm just assuming Billy's not so stupid as to talk about some obscure and relatively unknown Cain and "Able" as though we're all supposed to know whom he's talking about. You're assuming otherwise?

Their parents were very creative with their names. Once excited, Able could penetrate any blockers and go in for the kill without any real hinderance, but if he wasn't into the game, his performance lacked strength. Ready, his cousin and 2nd line fullback, could get into the game at any time and was always looking for action. Although, he could be misdirected sometimes and fill the wrong hole on his assignments, he still was an energetic crowd pleaser and a steady backup when called upon.

                  Those Johnson boys...

Excellent critique of a couple of NFL hopefuls who just did not have the talent to "take it that next level." Luckily for we other dreamers, we have the market to assuage our thirst for competition.

If you mean that Ready was once removed from his home by a couple of Federal marshalls and spent a considerable period of time in Joliet prison, I believe you are correct.

Rob is correct. Abel had no children. I called Billyjoe up immediately and he confirmed that he was indeed talking about Abel.
So nice that we have taken over Louetta's thread for such an investing/trading related discussion. I bet she's thinking right now what a sharp group of guys we are.

If that is what she is truly thinking, she, again, would be correct.

Are you sure Abel had no children? Times were different back then. You had to start young to populate the earth. It wasn't as if you'd date for a couple years first and how many partners were there to choose from? How many kids did Adam and Eve have anyway ? DNA testing may prove me right. Louetta , do you know the answer ?
