Small article about Wallace D. Wattles:Originally posted by Websman View PostYou da man Karel!
With a link to wikisource AND to a PDF of the book.
I think the author is a bit barmy at times, see the
start of CH17 about the "thinking stuff":
but he may very well give practical tips about how to
concentrate on your goals, along the usual self-help
lines.

Pyto
I looked into this briefly. PhytoMedical Technologies (PYTO.OB) is based in Princeton, NJ and apparently has licensed or otherwise acquired the rights to several patents owned by Dartmouth, in particular those of inventor Gordon Gribble et al. related to bis-acridine compounds for killing cancer cells. For example, one patent is U.S. 6,187,787 issued Feb. 13, 2001. The positive results of new tests by PhytoMedical using a synthetic bis-acridine compound most likely covered by this patent were announced in a press release dated March 3, 2008. On March 17, 2008, the company announced that it will initiate a third-phase of its drug development program, to study the toxicity these drugs. So far, their testing has shown that certain of these compounds can kill cancer cells. Please note that these are strictly "in vitro" (test tube) lab tests. The "third-phase" is not to be confused with third stage human trials!Originally posted by Peter Hansen View PostOne Pump and Dumper is pushing this .....PYTO .....It is a Bio Tech Play ....Perhaps River can shed more light on this one?
This is a start-up company 59% held by insiders and no institutional ownership (maybe Dartmouth retains the rest???). It went public in September 2004 at 63 cents. It closed yesterday at 29 cents. It has no profits and is operating in the red.
As with all biotech (and pharmaceutical) companies, there is no guarantee that good lab results will translate into an actual treatment for humans. Further, the use of such compounds for humans will have to go through the whole regulatory procedures and trials gamut. The end result is WAY down the road. But it is an interesting concept and I hope it works. Is this company worth 29 cents, or will it fold? That is the question... (My money stays in my bank on this one for quite a few years).
This could be a pump and dump or maybe they just need a fresh infusion of cash to do the next stage of the drug development.
Hope this helps. Riverbabe

I read Napolean Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" as mentioned in wikisource. Hill studied the super wealthy such as Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller and wote down the characteristics that were common amongst the wealthy. He was big into visualization and believed that if you considered yourself a success and continually reminded yourself you eventually would become successful.Originally posted by Karel View PostSmall article about Wallace D.
