  • Doug, a couple of things...

I'll volunteer to help you watch, if you are ready to organize a group. Also, I know someone else very sharp who may be interested.

Also have questions about DGO. I recall the old printed version contained the fundies over the last 2 years or so, all moving averages, etc. I assume I can get the same information online, but are the numbers downloadable and sortable? And does it have the same market info as IBD's markets and sectors/big picture columns? Would you consider DGO a significant upgrade over IBD? Thanks in advance.

Well...not a great day for me...Had to leave early...Bot CRYP -.03, IRIS -.26 and FORM -.06...not a disaster or anything...but made a big mistake per my plan on CRYP...I bot on the p/b when it moved up at 34.00...a few mins later it was up to 34.84 or so...My plan is to trim...but I got greedy...it happened fast...but I could've trimmed at about 34.45 or so easy...I didn't...then it goes down into the 33's...then up to about 34.35 or so...Anyway, I wanted 35...Real loss wasn't much...but paper loss was not good. Meanwhile, I'm watching it so much...I didn't sell IRIS when I wanted to because I wasn't watching it...Such is life..."Live 'N Learn"...IIC

PS...No trading for me tomorrow...gotta hit the road shortly after the open

I rarely read IBD anymore...usually only the Monday Edition...I only paid $120 yr on some super special extension deal 5 years ago...have another year left.

I don't get the print DGO anymore...I did get the Naz 1x a mo on another deal up until last year...but no more.

Some stuff at DGO is downloadable...e.g. Reports, Screens...I don't save it though.

I like charts and P/V...so I like DGO much better for D/T's...If I go back to Intermediate Trading(which probably won't happen???) then I'd say IBD would be good.

I posted that list last night to see if I'd get a reaction...I use that high RS list in R/T every morning to see if any meet my p/v action criteria...some always do.(But I have to be at the right place at the right time to catch 'em) The list changes everyday to some extent...so I keep 2-3 days up at all times...very helpful IMO...but the scan is my own.

A group???...I have thought about that...but very hard to find 5 people who all want the same thing. I have a trading partner who looks for maybe 85-90% of the same things I do...but that is about it...IIC

I try to keep things very simple...I'm not really an expert in anything anyway...But when you do the same things many times over it becomes second nature and many of those things become almost automatic.

I have made changes in my trading style a number of times since '00...prior to that I was very CS for almost 20 yrs...Made some big changes in mid '00 and again in the Fall of '03. Then again in 8/04 and again in 2/05...But I think it is good to make changes gradually...test them w/ small dollars...paper trades are not realistic, although doing p/t's is educational...it just doesn't happen that way in real life...;i.e. I p/t'd dt's from 1/04-8/04...(made a few real one's too)...But, I WISH I could do that well in real life...Best...Doug(IIC)

Actually...there were some nice ones last week...but that list is way down on my watch...I used to set alerts on them...good idea, but most never break up...But if one a week does and you see it...
