Wait a minute...I bot QID as I previously mentioned yesterday...Today the NDX was down...But so was QID...THAT's not supposed to happen...lol
Admittedly, I decided to go in QID early...if my confirmation point "A" is met I will add double my initial buy...If my confirmation point "B" is met I will add the same shs as my second buy. If none of this happens I could lose maybe 1-2% of my intitial stake which is only on 20% of the money I have alotted for my test...Of course many other things could happen: e.g. I end up buying all 100% and the Naz 100 gaps up for some reason...We'll see...No rush...But for example if I had been in QLD w/ a stop I could've lost on the quick drop after the plane crash. However, the losses are pretty much limited %-wise over the long haul...Then again...so are the gains.
I am actually not bearish thru year-end...but I do expect a pullback before a Naz Comp close at the end of December of 2631.04

U.S. trade deficit unexpectedly climbs to a record in August of $69.86 billion, up 2.7% from July, inflated by high oil prices and demand for imports. Wall Street economists predicted strong exports would mean a deficit of $66.80 billion. U.S. exports rise 2.3% to a record $122.42 billion in August, pushed by strong sales of American-made aircraft, foods and consumer goods.

Doug, if you followed your plan don’t worry. Now if you jumped in just to buy something that’s different. In reality our super high-speed entry points are not the holly grail to the markets. Where we exit is what ultimately matters. I personally can’t argue with the Bulls and I think a lot of bears have been getting their butts handed to them as of late. We have not seen such bullish action in awhile. This puts people at odds with the markets. They just know that a correction is near and jump in short on anything dropping. I got to follow the current trend and for now that trend is up. The market could care less about what I think or feel. It will do what it’s to do.
If the Nas100 crashes tomorrow who cares. In fact don’t beat yourself up over it. How many times have we pulled out just to watch the thing take off like a big dog… Doesn’t matter. All we can do is formulate a plan and have the discipline to follow the plan. We don’t have anything to prove in a forum, but what truly matters is how we do things when no one is watching. Do I still fall short and bail before my plan tells me to? Yep and looking back on several trades this was not the wise thing to do. Sure short term I thought to myself I was a hero. Longer term the stock never hit my stop and I would have had a few real nice homeruns.
If you are trying a new system out if you think you should buy 100 shares only buy 50. This simple thing along helped me because I did not have many shares turned on. In fact I found out since reducing my shares this allowed me to follow my plan better because if I’m wrong the loss really is not a big deal. Maybe this is a psychological issue that I needed to get through but that simple thing alone has helped me more than anything else.

I'm not worried though. And I was kidding about the Naz 100 tanking tomorrow. And yes, I'm going to practice with only 100 to 400 share lots on this for now. I'd like to put in about equal $$$ sums, so since the QLD is about 35% higher priced I will adjust accordingly. Normally, I like to trade in round lots though....thx, Doug"Trade What Is Happening...Not What You Think Is Gonna Happen"
