Folks Tough Markets!

Folks as you realize these markets are crazy, and It it rough to make profitable trades. 2 Stocks previously mentioned and that have made 52 Week Highs yesterday are SIMO and SPSC.

Provided the markets rise today these stocks seem to follow Jack Carter's "Profit Rich Trades" method, and should rise a few bucks over a 2-10 day period. Will that happen? ......no one can say for sure.

Well AGX was UP 5.23% On Friday 12/16/2011 to close at $16.90, and TYPE was up a paltry .74% to close at $16.37. Not bad if I must say so myself .
I am going to add 4 more stocks to the mix for the coming week. I have not delved deeply into the technicals , although of course they are important. I beleive that momentum stocks are the ones to follow and with them it is possible to capture gains in 2 -10 day periods. Remember from Physics class , that an object in motion tends to remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. Most of the stocks listed here are or were recently at their 52 week highs.......VRTX SGEN are the exceptions.
The 6 stocks are as follows AGX, BGS, ONKS, SGEN, TYPE and VRTZ.
Upon careful analysis of the charts, I feel that if the markets rise these stock will prove profitable over a 2-10 day period.

What kind of gains are we looking for. Do you believe in setting your exits before you make your trade? Are you using the 5% stop 8% target for these?

Remember from Physics class , that an object in motion tends to remain in motion unless acted upon by an outside force.

I quess that market emotion would be considered an outside force.

I call it this way. If you buy it won't happen. If you don't it will keep going up until you do.

To answer your question about PPO DARK LINE almost touching the GREEN ADX line .......go back to the chart and look at Nov 28th 2011 , and there is where the lines appear to touch and then the PPO line heads UP and the Green ADX line heads down.
Yes unfortuantely we are late on this one , but I still feel ya may be able to capture a few bucks on the upside.

My question is when do you take a trade? How long do you wait after the ppo and adx start to diverge?

Looks to be a bottom fishing strategy. In order for the ppo and adx get that close you need a stock that is falling fast. In order for the indicators to turn the price has to reverse. Could easily be a dead cat bounce.
