    2:58 marathon PR for me

now what do I do? Guess it's back to stock picking for a while.

Well, that IS an accomplishment. Not sure where you are but there's always things like the run up the Mt. Washington auto road. Out west there's things like running up Pike's Peak. Or some sort of trail run.

Another goal achieved ! Just finished reading unabridged version of Les Miserables, over 1460 pages. It would help if I could speak French or had any knowledge of the geography of France. Read the shorter version years ago. It was like a different book. Now can see the movie and point out all the mistakes. I've read most of Hugo's novels. The version I read of Hunchback was the most exciting book I've ever read. Couldn't put it down. It's hard to even find the classics at a library any more. Often they are only available through inter library loans.

thanks, Louetta! yeah, I might do PP at some point- that's a good one. Here in SD we have Mt Palomar, which I run on occasion. Next on my marathon bucket list is Honolulu, if I can swing it.

For now I'm going to give the feet a good rest, though. They've earned it.

there's a thought. maybe I'll read more non-fiction... got some Game of Thrones books to keep me busy for a while, now I can add Hunchback to the list.

            Fashionably Late

I make a list of daily goals that help.
There are 8 months left in the year. In those 8 months I will:

            -Read at least 30 books.
-Have my own business open and profitable.
-Gain more muscle and drop my body fat to 12% from 14%.
-Secure my methods for stock investing.
-Party in a big way but only once a month.
-Learn poker and make $300 playing.

                  Billy,

Are you swimming in open water or swimming pool? How do you keep track of the distance you swim?

                    Duniyo,

In an open pool. I've been swimming 2100 yards 3 days a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but average is over 3 miles per week. Have to get there around 6:30 to get my spot. At 8 AM either an arthritis or aquanastics exercize class starts so I have to be done before 8.

Excellent stuff. Ever tried any open water stuff? Doing the first leg of a triathlon on a team with a biker and a runner can be a fun thing?

                        Louetta,

They have a televised Rev3 triathlon near here in June. Some locals were trying to put a team together but they had a rare problem, too many swimmers. My son does well in swimming but hadn't been training hard enough to do the marathon or cycling legs. My cousin's son is a state champion swimmer and swims for Ohio State University but never did the longer distance running or cycling so they never got a team together. They tape delay the race usually on ESPN later in the year. We wandered around the world class athlete's corral. It was fenced in with large poster sized photos of the top 16 men and top 16 women. My son participated in the Cleveland sprint triathlon . I think he was 6th person out of the water but fell behind on the other legs.

I kept breathing! Met my goal. For 2014, need to focus more on making serious $$$.
