PotY Contest Standings As of Market Close, June 4, 2021

After another wishy washy week, Jiesen’s TSLA short again rules the roost. Louetta’s SAN climbed into second place followed by last week leader, Karel’s MED, as our only two long positions in the green. There’s still a lot of time left although we are coming up on the half way mark. My best guess is that for many of the languishing picks, such as my own TDOC, if they haven’t made a move by now, they probably aren’t going to finish the second half of the year very strongly. Only time will tell if I am correct.

It was an interesting week for the market. The NASDAQ poked its head up, the S&P teetered, and the Dow went full-on lemming and dove into the abyss. The end result was as follows: the few positive long positions gave up some ground, Jiesen’s TSLA short continued to rule the roost, and the rest if us … well … we continued to wallow in the mud. Will the markets go into free fall? Is a surprise market rally coming? Will the lizard people that rule the world from a secret complex beneath Los Angeles finally reveal themselves? We had a little shuffling this week as Louetta’s SAN vaulted back into first place by the thinnest of margins. So far only SAN, Jiesen’s TSLA short, and Karel’s MED are in the green and it sure looks like it will stay that way for quite a while yet. Will the market rally in the coming weeks and months? Well, here we are after another “meh” week. Karel’s steady TSLA short vaulted back into the lead and has been a pretty steady pick. Louetta’s SAN and Karel’s MED are looking pretty good too, and the Huge One’s TRUP is slowly making a move. Watch out leaders! Hard to believe, but it’s July already and we are nearing the half way mark. Let’s just see what surprises the market has in store for us in the coming weeks. I’ll be especially interested when the second part of the government’s UFO report is released and it reveals that we did indeed capture a UFO in 1947 and it’s been hidden in plain site as an Original Tommy’s burger joint in Los Angeles. Come on, did you think it was just a coincidence that the burgers were so good?
