This is a pretty interesting article from the founder of Elliott Wave International. I thought some would find it rather interesting!!

This chart depicts the fib growth spiral on the $compq off the 1750 bottom. Pretty cool how it lines up with the moves. Signal long occurs after price moves to the right side of line after a little decline. Notice how the $compQ gave a long signal last week, but I need the compq to get above top black line!!

BJ, I can’t say with certainty but I do see that possibility of this happening. I also see another hole in the chart around 6.90-7.00 range. Now does that mean it will fill it? I’m cautious on ELN at this time.

Runner,
Would you rely enough on the circles to make a play on any of the indices tracking ETF's with it? Can't recollect ever seeing circles like these being used. What determines the band width of the circles? Is there a formula? How do you set it up to plot it?THE SKIRACER'S EDGE: MAKE THE EDGE IN YOUR FAVOR

Ski, I can see a few trading signals the fibonacci growth spiral provides.
1. It will often pick out the peaks (or close) to the completion of a wave up and down
2. It can also be used for identifying support and resistance. In fact support and resistance does not always follow a horizontal line.
The spiral has no boundaries and is constant in shape from any point along it. The core or center is never met and the outward reach is unlimited.
At any point in the spiral, the ratio of the length or the arc to its diameter is 1.618 to the diameter and radius 90 degrees away. Might look like this
r2=r3=r4=……..rn=1.618
r1=r2=r3= rn1=
Doubt if that made much sense, but hard to do math on the pc.
I use a program that runs with stockcharts. It has an automatic feature that you simply trace the major tops and bottoms. Then it cycles through and finds the best set ups. You can then toggle through and find other set ups.
I don’t want to confuse anyone and like any tool at times you’ll get false signals, I was hesitant in posting a chart with it. This growth spiral can really get intense and I don’t have the time to try to get into it, but you can find reading material that explains it enough for you to be dangerous!!
One other bit of info you might find interesting;
The great pyramids were designed by giving its faces a slope height equal to 1.618 times half its base, so that the vertical height of the pyramid is at the same time the square root of 1.618 times half its base…. I think they have stood the test of time.lololo
